Somniacs, I was up till 11 cleaning my dang apartment I got into a frenzy of cleaning and it was awful.

My coffee maker is broken this morning!!! Probably because I cleaned it. I think it's been a decade or more since I have not had coffee. I would go buy some but I don't trust me to drive yet. Gah.

I am buying a backup when I replace it today. Even if it's just a French Press. I tried to get MacGyver-y about it, but I have almost zero things in the apartment. It just wasn't happening.

GOD. LOL.

Gonna go rent a house in Douglas tomorrow!

Boil water take filter basket out of broken coffee maker set up as normal if filter basket sits on top of carafe and has a top that opens then place set up filter basket as you normally would then slowly pour boiling water over coffee grounds letting it make coffee as it normally would except you are pouring instead of automatic

String + coffee filter or triple paper towel or stocking or old pantyhose + coffee = crude coffee tea bag you could use a sock if you really want to be Macgyver about it but I'll pass

Thank @Necrospecter . LOL some genius told me to just leave everything and pour hot water through the filter IN the coffee maker.

Cannot believe I did not think of it although I had zero coffee at the time.LOL.

Anna

getting in between me and my coffee is never a good idea I get almost as creative as if sex were on the line. Those two ideas were the best I could type for you while driving my kid to school but I have had those mornings where the coffee maker just would not work for one reason or another and I have come up with some good and not so good ways to get my coffee goodness.

Morning everyone. :)
Yes it is morning here but not everywhere

I always keep a French Press around for emergencies or when I want some strong coffee. They are cheap and can be a lifesaver

I tried that trick with the paper towel when I was 16 yrs old starting life on my own and it worked, only problem was the paper towel was 2 ply and I got the nice glue taste also.

I mainly drink french press anymore but my coffee arsenal consists of pour over filter, french press, percolator, cappuccino maker and a drip coffee maker

I have a French press for emergencies..... In Tucson. Along with like about 4 other inexpensive coffee makers. I kept buying them and giving them to my mom because she only drinks tea. I only drink tea if/when I am sobbing about some personal issue to my mom, and she like, listens to my BS, is sort of comforting in a nice, mom way.... Then she always says, "How about a nice cup of tea." And always go, "YES, sob."

But in the mornings I need coffee and I used to house sit quite a bit. She kept tossing them or giving them back. LOL I finally got one and told her if she tossed it or gave it back, I would not be able to house sit.

LOL she returned it when she moved to Colorado. She also left me her ENTIRE stash of teas. It was my favorite thing she left me, actually.

I'm not sure if it meant "Grow up drama queen" or "Gimme a call when you are having a meltdown, I'm leaving the tea."

Either way I have enough tea now for the rest of my life.

Oh my coffee maker fixed itself. I decide whatever I had fried might have dried out. It has.

I went through a period when I primarily used the French press. Now I need to get back on coffee. Monster is getting expensive...

The salted caramel java monster is really good too. I can't get those. I drink them in one gulp lol. Never was a big fan of large arena concerts. I did House Of Blues quite often. It fit 2500 and that seemed like a lot.

I would have been much happier with a small venue but the last time to see him so I had to do it. Well it was also the first time I ever got to see him live, kinda looked like Santa. For a 73-year-old all I can say is what a show I can only imagine what it was like when he was younger. That line from Turn the page "Every ounce of energy
you try to give away" was so true.
