I'm thinking for a dual ss tri core I'll have to go up to 8 wraps each, might try a 3 wrap parallel first. Given up using steam engine for multi wire builds. I'm so inept when it comes to that stuff.
Trial & error is tedious but at least I can manage that.
3 wrap parallel will be really low. 6 wrap regular should put you in your happy place. I have more 3×28/36 NiChrome FC coming today. I love that wire.

Humm maybe I need to get one and put my Hadaly on it would be perfect for the movies
The Mini Volt is 40w and battery life isn't too great. Should get you through a movie. If you want a practical stealth mod get a a... Sigeli J80. (Done impersonating Baditude. Back to my usual routine @Letitia )

Not for a dual ss tri core fc. 3mm would put me below .2.
My 5 wrap parallel single coil With kanthal single core 28/32 was .3 ohms with a 3 wrap stainless FC it may end up in the .05 range. Parallel coils are for getting surface area whil keeping resistance down It is almost like having quad coils on it. So you would have 1/4 the resistance of a 6 wrap dual with a 3 wrap dual parallel.

Told you I was hopeless, thanks Skunk. Forgot I used parallels for more wraps when using an airy large deck.

They are awesome for single coil attys. This hot mess is .15 ohms.

That is 7 or 14 wraps each side. I like 6 or 7 wraps with a FC on regulated devices. A mechanical would have a tough time with that kind of build.

I'll just do what I always do and wing it once I see the deck. That's what's nice about the Drop, can use as many wraps as I need for target Ω. Will not be the case with the Engine, pretty tight. May have to play with tc or different wire type. Life was much easier before I got the hots for multi wire builds.

You aren't hopeless those are for a purpose which doesn't really suit your needs. Try them on a really airy single coil RTA/RDA with a single core 28/30 or 32 clapton and you will love it. Thet ramp up quick and it essentially makes a single coil atty a dual

I want to try a single wire 24 ga+FC parallel when I get the new wire.
I did a similar parallel with two different wire types once, wasn't pretty but worked well as a single coil. Couldn't get them to play together as a dual build tho. More trouble for little gain back then. Ordered a couple parallel pre-builts from AVS, liking the one so far, haven't tried the other yet.

The Drop is nice! You can probably build some madness in one of those. I am going to take replace squonk pin on the big bunny with the regular one. I want to do some stupid big builds on it again. The SQ is perfect for the Pulse. I actually like single coil better for mechs now. Don't underestimate simple claptons. They are still great. Parallel single core clapton is probably my favorite for single coil setups. Love me some crazy exotic coils too. I saw some premade coils yesterday that I really want. Imma go get them. I'll be back.

That is a nice parallel. I LOVE parallels with different wire types. I have seen premads parallels I then to go for ridiculous wire types with premade coils Watch these i am going to get. They are cartoony big.

Simple claptons take longer to ramp than my tri cores. If I ever want to go back to those I'll be forced to use tc. I don't get why, probably ordered the wrong gauge and didn't notice. I need to check and maybe reorder.
I use them on mechmods in parallel so thas probably it. I like the thin ones. For regulated I pull this kind of crap...
