I just checked the radar...that is a pretty nasty storm.
It is light rain now. Been on the road for a little over an hour and 4 orders already.
The worst of it only lasted about 30 min and dropped a ton of rain. Everywhere is pretty flooded. Power has been flickering at home.

Is it monsoon season over there?

Holy crap! This is the strongest storm I have seen in years. Power is out in half the city. Lightning everywhere. So. Much. Rain. No more deliveries. Screw this. Going home.

hope you remembered to pick up some extra cash from one of the dark casinos on your way home

I wish... They make sure the money engine has power. 2/3 of the city ended up losing power. Some areas still don't have it back on. It is already getting hot too. Hope they get everybody up and running soon.

The big desert cities are living on borrowed time. They are about to start water restrictions about 20 years too late. Trying to save up to move but it is tough now that the cost of living has gotten so high.
Ot is impossible to live here with no AC. Power goes out and people die from the heat.

My husband was suggesting a summer home and looking up zipcodes. I about fainted from stress. I told him, "RV. SMALL ONE. MAYBE."

This is why we should both be doing budgets together, we can curb each others tendencies, like I like shinny things he likes power tools he doesn't open and Property APPARENTLY.

Man my goal number one is to pay off debt. Jesus.

We are having another EPIC monsoon, and right after the first one. I'm fine with it.

Etc.

Thanks:) Iwill look into those areas. I have a friend in San Antonio he loves it there. Never been to the South. I would have to see how it is down there before making any decision but I am going to explore all options. I wouldn't mind changing industries at all.

I moved to Vegas from Texas. I’ll take the heat here. Too much humidity in Texas.

If looking to move, you should check out the Reno/Fernley area. Lots of growth there, and the climate is a lot nicer.

I like Reno a lot. I heard theor economy is doing much better. The last couple times I have been there has been in the winter. It wasn't too bad. The surrounding areas are really nice too. I was looking at working at Caesara Tahoe and living up.there. That was a few years ago. It was actually do-able at that time.

Edit: I do like living in Nevada a lot. The laws are really relaxed here. Pretty much do what you want, just don't hurt anybody.
