I'm starting to think we should all be ashamed to be human, actually. The news is the same all over and it's getting ever more rabid.
I keep trying to take deep breaths and all and I try not to expose myself to too much of it, not due to shame, but because it makes me full rage.
Some of my best years were between college and like, my master's degree and I was a stay at home mom/housekeeper and made a solemn pledge to listen to or engage in any news of ANY sort.
I try to remind me of that when I start thinking the end is night.... Those years where I consumed zero news and yet, the sky did not fall and stuff was okay.
I don't quite have that luxury these days, I have to know enough to mediate between the kid and the husband and their text wars. They're super funny. One day, I may ask if I can have them to publish them somewhere on the internet.
Maybe AFTER I'm hired at my new job. They're lunatics though.

No picture demonstrates what's wrong with the modern news media more accurately. It has become a fear mongering, child exploiting, agenda driven, Soviet style, State run propaganda machine. Pravda the American version.

Are those still around? Haven’t seen any in years. Remember they tasted awful, like solid sweetened water paste. The real thing tasted much better.

Every once in a while I can hear one in the distance. We don't have any little kids in our block.
I remember one came through my neighborhood about a month ago, but no one wanted any. When I lived closer to Flint, MI no ice cream trucks went near that area.
