I've noticed that when I switch out batteries and take my first drag, the atty stays 'on' for a good 3-5 seconds after I vape it, to the point where it gets pretty hot and sizzling and I pull the cart off until the atty stops and cools a bit. is this a built in cleaning cycle, and is it necessary ?

also do the evo auto batteries still have a 5 sec / 2 min cutoff and delay? I thought I read somewhere the new ones no longer have this but I recently got some replacement parts from intellicig.com and they still seem to be the same

I don't recall mine doing that with the atty staying on. I have them loaned out to a friend at the moment otherwise I would try it out to see.

It only happens when you first change batteries?

The EVOs I received in the beginning of December have the 5 sec / 2(?) minute cutoff. I don't recall seeing anything about that changing but I could be mistaken.

Mine all seem to have the cut off but I don't always get 5 secs before it kicks in. This is especially the case with older batteries. I guess the accuracy of whatever measures the duration of the draw gradually fails. Personally I'd rather take my chances of frying the atomiser than suffer the irritation of the cut off.

Anytime I've had the led consistently staying on after stopping drawing I've assumed the battery has had it.

I've noticed the same (got my EVOs back in Sept 2009 from IV), atty stays on for a few seconds when switched to a fully charged (auto) battery. The only difference, mine does that on a second drag (99% of the time).
(I usually twist the atty, just enough to cut the power, to avoid burning taste on a next drag.)

It looks to me as a built-in feature.
John should be able to confirm.

I got five genie batteries two black and one silver evo. And about five or six atomizers. I've had some of them for over six months. Just lost my very first atomizer it's actuall six months old and still works but it hits decent then hits with little vapor and throat hit so I replaced it. The six and a half month old baterries still last about 8hrs and a vape quite a bit.

Anyway some are old and some new. Everytime I put on a fresh battery the Led shuts off but the atomizer still sizzles. It's just a self cleaning feature. And the cut off helps with long atomizer life. It's been proven to result in maxium life out of all parts. Well for me anyway.

Like I said some are new and some old but they all act the same. I don't think they have changed cuttoff times. But sometimes it seems like some batteries don't cutt out as soon as others?? It may be the atomizers too. Not sure.

Overall intellicig is a wise choice if your looking to get your money worth and then some. They produce unbelivable flavor great vapor and throat hit. To me they are top of the line quality e cigs. From my experince anyway.

I have alot of different devices but intellicig is always three of the six I vape everyday.

Where is my manual intellicig??? I'm still waiting!!!!!!
