Yea I read about that somewhere, thats what made me want one :D also what does the GT in the 360 GT mean!? Sounds powerful, unlike my bad video RAM right now, Flight Sim X doesn't like it one bit!!

lol, it stands for "GamerTag" which is an online identity.

Not a problem as such, but I find it very very noisy. It's like sucking on a straw or something. It makes a whistling sound. It isn't the atomiser fizzing or anything. I have sort of figured out that if the battery is tightly screwed to the atomiser, it is much louder than if you loosen it ever so slightly. Don't know if anyone else finds this something of an issue. It just sounds odd and people have commented on it.

i dont have this problem, it sometimes gurgles if i have over filled though! i did have a bit of a whistling atomiser on my Mirage but that cleared after about 2 days use. give John a call or email, im sure he will be able to advise you better.

ive done the review, just got to edit and then upload to youtube. hopefully be online in a couple of hours!

Thanks igetcha

....John, any ideas please? I tried the other atomiser and that is the same. I would adore this cig if it wasn't for this feature. The battery life is brilliant and the carts aren't too bad lasting. Hate the flipping noisiness of the thing though.

The atomisers do quieten down after a few days. The one I am using just now is about two weeks old and no noisier than a 901, so don't panic, they will get quieter with use. I think a few people here noticed the effect.

Hi SuziQ,

Devil Gate Drive, eh? But I digress...

They calm down and indeed get better, as well as much less noisy, with use. When I did a text review of the Evo a while back on this forum I was equally uncomfortable about the noise - but relax. Just give it time and you'll love it!:thumb:

Devil Gate Drive? don't know what you're on about ;) ....far too young...lmao, I wish!

Mine didn't arrive today :( my new cream and cherry eliquid from Smokester came but not the evolution! Damn postmen being picky about parcels or something, too heavy to carry more than one at the new 4 mile an hour speed they have to walk? I can't wait to try the damn thing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas post, tribal....John is v.fast on post, so don't worry...unless the temporary postman has delivered it to someone else....8-o

I might be having minor issues with the noise of it, but actually, since it arrived I have hardly used anything else. Was vaping with my penstyle this evening though and kissed another atomiser goodbye. It's a good thing I bought the evo imo, as I need something to take away with me on holiday in a few days. At the rate stuff is failing, it will be all I have left!

At the risk of inflating John's ego even more, can I point out the the USB charger for the EVO is a stormer. It charges up really quickly and here is the clever part, you can hook it up to a NiMH battery pack and you have a completely portable system, don't need mains or computers or anything. With my setup I can get four days vaping easily without going anywhere near power.
You can buy these thing fairly easily or if anyone is interested I can show you the home made version.

Ooh, where would I get one of those Pete? What would I actually ask for (old and thick)? Fabulous idea. Need one immediately.

Well you can get a BUB version from B&Q (Big Ugly Bugger:)) or you can make one yourself quite easily, but it does mean solder two wires. There is a third option, very small packs available on eBay. I've ordered a couple to test and can report pack when they arrive.

Making it yourself is very cheap if you already have the batteries but assuming you have to buy them the total cost is probably about £20ish. Worth it for the freedom it gives.

I'll post a couple of pics of my one tomorrow to show you exactly what I mean.
