It seems like Intellicig is feeling some growing pains, plus some confusion and pain from the rogue "Intellicigs" site. I'm certainly not defending any oversights on their part, but my experiences with them have been positive for the most part.

I don't doubt that chewy, but being up front about delays (e.g. posting on the site that they had a backlog and "today we will be dealing with orders made on March 3rd/4th") would give people an idea when to expect their order which would mean they'd avoid emails about the delays which in turn would give them more time to respond to enquiries. I mean, I emailed on Friday asking if orders for carts were subject to similar delays, got no reply and ordered them from China. I was certainly never worried that I wouldn't get my most recent order and, touch wood, I can't complain about the way they've dealt with their mistake but lack of communication has to be bad for business.

just got this email from intellicig, glad to see their rapid response to the current situation.

Dear XXXXXXXXXX XXXXX

Intellicig backs restrictions on 'electronic cigarette' sales to under-18s

Statement from Intellicig in response to the announcement that government ministers are being encouraged to legislate sales of electronic cigarettes to under 18's and reports
that consumption of the product could be harmful to children:

David Newns, commercial director of leading smoking alternative brand Intellicig, said: "We will support any legislative moves to restrict the sale of our products to the under-18s.

"Our products are intended solely for adult smokers. This is made clear on our packaging, our website and on all our other communications.

"We work closely with Trading Standards Officers and the MHRA (Medicinces and Health Care Products Regulatory Agency) to ensure that we are compliant and would urge other suppliers to do the same.

"Additionally, our products carry full warnings in line with CHIP (Chemicals - Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) regulations, that the product should be kept out of the
reach of children and is not suitable for under 18's.

"We will support any measures to restrict the sales of electronic cigarettes to under-18s and communicate this to our retailers."

CAUTION:

Refill cartridges contain nicotine and should be locked safely out of the reach of children

Pure nicotine is poisonous and if ingested immediate medical assistance should be sought.

Not really sure I should post this but for all the wording on their site about being assembled in the UK and tested, not just reselling packaged orders from China etc. I'm now dubious. Having just returned from China and having visited various manufacturers, I've taken various samples from different e-retailers and it's obvious what we have all have here is just another OEM reseller. Their products are much the same as everyone else is selling. Same manufacturers, same supply problems, but very good marketing.

Someone asked me to post up pictures of the intellicig product changes over the last month, possibly being the cause of the supply problems due to supplier changes. Here are the obvious ones I've noticed. Please note, ALL the components are Chinese sourced. Cartridges, switches, atomizers, batteries and eliquids to fill the carts.

So far I've had access to 5 mighty atom batteries and 2 genies. Apart from one mighty atom that failed to respond to inhilation 40% of the time and had to be returned (dealt with swiftly) all have worked BUT to varying degrees.

Problem 1 - the LED and vaporiser often (but not always) respond to only part of the inhilation giving unsatisfactory vapour and throat hit (i.e. they seem to cut out before I've stopped inhaling but don't confuse this with them cutting out for 2 minutes because of a 5 sec inhilation).

Problem 2 - the LED only lights up in the middle, not at the edges, so you can't see it as you inhale. That's a fairly minor problem but a) I'm not sure the draw on these is as strong as on one that's working properly and b) it is annoying as it means you sometimes miss the 5 warning flashes when the battery needs recharged.

1 mighty atom suffered from problem 1, 1 mighty atom suffered from problem 2 and 1 genie suffered from both. Only 3 working perfectly (so far) out of 7 is pretty poor. Have I just been unlucky as I've heard nothing but praise for these batteries on the forum (apart from one poster who seemed to have even worse luck with his)?

Sounds like bad luck but I don't own a large enough sample size to be even remotely significant. (I own 3 evo bats and 5 pilot bats)

I find I prefer the EVO bats as they give a bit more vapour than the others. I have no idea why and it could just be a matter of batch and/or luck of the draw.

I cycle all my bats (3 of us use them so they all get decent use) and I will be interested to see which ones die first.

I may be really lucky since in 2 months of use and 3 ppl using, we have yet to kill a single atomizer.

I've finally lost patience with this mob. So far I've made 5 orders with them and only one has been right. That's a 20% strike rate which is what you'd expect a monkey to score on a multiple choice math's test. I recall Kate saying on another thread that Intellicig aren't known for getting things right but never did I think they'd be this bad. I've listed my experiences with them below. Pay particular attention to the last order as it highlights the Jeckyll and Hyde nature of their customer services.

Order 1. Evo USB starter pack with mighty atom batteries instead of genies.

Result. Delivered all correct within a couple of days. Perhaps the fact they only had mighty atoms in stock was significant factor.

Order 2. Menthol X High carts.

Result. Sent X High Regular. No response to email.

Order 3. Deluxe Evo starter pack for a friend with mighty atom batteries instead of genies.

Result. Waited 14 days for order only to find they had sent me a non-deluxe starter pack with genie batteries. Emailed them and, after posting about my experience on here, received a phone call saying they would send out 2 mighty atoms plus the missing mains usb plug plus a SAE to return the 2 genie batteries. Received these 2 days later.

Order 4. Ordered trade pack of 5 atomisers after posting on here that my original burnt out after 26 days (I've since found out that's not atypical for any atomiser). I also posted that of 7 evo batteries that had passed through my hands only 2 had been 100%. I received an email saying they would send out a replacement atomiser and a spare battery (I assume they read my post) along with my order for 5 atomisers.

Result. Two days later received replacement atomiser and spare battery but no trade pack of atomisers (these were listed on the invoice). Emailed them and, while I received no response to my email, I received the trade pack 2 days later. I didn't have the heart to tell them the free spare battery they sent me suffered from the exact problem I highlighted in my battery post (led and atomiser did not function for whole of draw).

Order 5. Ordered an Evo USB starter pack for friend with mighty atom batteries instead of genies.

Result. I was told they had the mighty atoms in stock so order would not be subjected to the delays that genie orders were experiencing. I received an email saying it may take 5 days for delivery. One minute later (yes, one minute) I received an email saying my order had been dispatched. Four days later I received an email saying the order had been "invoiced". Two days later I received an email saying it had been dispatched. I finally received it 8 days after the original email saying it had been dispatched (post normally takes two days within UK). The order contained ONE genie battery instead of TWO mighty atoms and the usb adaptor wouln't fit properly into the usb port and wasn't charging the battery. Emailed them and was told they'd send out 2 mighty atoms, a usb adaptor and a SAE right away. To their credit they paid extra for next day delivery. Next day I opened the parcel to find 2 new ATOMISERS and nothing else. The invoice had the original order scored out and "2 X Atoms" (which I assume was mistaken for 2 atomisers) written on it, no mention of usb adaptor. I emailed them twice in the last 5 days but heard nothing until an envelope was delivered today. Opened it to find a replacement usb adaptor but no mention or sight of the two mighty atom batteries (they hadn't even included a SAE as per the instructions on the invoice).

I'm afraid this latest episode was the straw that broke the camel's back. To think I've been recommending them to people and sticking up their web address on forums. I'd advise anyone wanting an evo to try one of their resellers. Two I know of are Home - The E-Cig Shop and Love Smoke The Electronic Cigarette Store. I haven't used either of them but, as they won't be dealing with the same volume of sales, the customer service and dispatch times must surely be better. Alternatively, any m401/402/pilot seller will give you the same thing under a different brand name.

I finally received the two mighty atoms today in the fourth installment of the starter pack I ordered for a friend. True to form regarding not being known for getting things right they sent out another replacement for the faulty usb adaptor. Incredibly, at the third attempt, they even remembered to enclose a S.A.E. in the package to return the five items I've built up since receiving the initial order viz. one genie battery, two new atomisers, one faulty usb adaptor and the second one I wrongly received today. The only thing that was missing was an apology. Their ignorance in that respect, along with their very sporadic response to my emails, has actually got me paranoid that they think I'm making this stuff up (although you'd think logic would dictate that, if I was at it, I'd be claiming whole parcels went undelivered). There again, maybe they are just pig ignorant.

If Intellicig introduced a bit of quality control on the battery front, introduced a web viewable stock control system and vastly improved their customer services (particularly on the communication front) they'd have it made because the evo, when working correctly, is a great product. I've also yet to find better carts than theirs and hopefully the ECOpure juice will be the same. Their trade packs are also unbeatable value. F*** me, it sounds as though I've forgiven them.

Hi Adik Ted

Well here is the apology! We know over the past few months we have had some problems, this has been due to the amazing demand for our products, as a company we have had to grow very fast recruiting new staff and significantly increasing stock and assembly lines.

As well we have been working on the new ECOpure liquid, this has taken over 6 months of hard work, really at the beginning we thought it was going to be easy but I can tell you know it was much harder then we ever imagined.

Anyway I ramble on, Adik Ted, we are sorry and I can assure you we have increased the number of customer service staff and now are able to ensure all emails are answered within the business day and we have installed a new telephone system.

Thank you for keeping with us

I have found intellicig and their products to be exceptional! so many people are discovering this product and i understand the stress that this demand can put on a company and understand why some people may be having problems. but rest assured the reliability, durability, and performance of their product far outweighs any problems. in fact i had a single small problem and john came through in spades. i am so impressed with intellicig.
thanks david and john

Fair enough David. I just made an order for some juice and atomisers. I'll get back to you if the score fails to reach 2 out of 6. :)

hi, has someone tried the new atomisers from intellicig? they have white plastic inside under the steel wick.I found that does not produce any throat hit although they produce lot of smoke!!, even with 36mg liquid. With the same liquid on the previous atomiser(the month old atomiser, that came with the kit) you can feel the hit, so much that you can feel it almost in your head. I tried 4 of the new atomisers but no throat hit at all. Freshly charged batteries ,dripping, and fresh filled up cartriges. Any answer?

I recently ordered and received my Evo Black from intellicig.com, upon receiving the starter kit and 50 carts I proceed to vape some throughout the morning, when my battery started to flash and would no longer vape I went to place it on the charger, i have been unable to charge the battery and it continues to flash 8 times, I have scoured the internet to the best of my ability and have been unable to find out what the 8 flashes mean, I have sent intellicig an email and hope to hear back from them shortly, any help would be appreciated.

The 8 flashes mean 'charge me'. Are you using USB or Mains and making sure the battery is screwed all the way on to it? Is it the same with both batteries?
Alan.
