Hi, New Member here...

I bought an intellicig this morning. By mid-afternoon it had already run out of steam battery-wise. I have been trying to recharge it but am having no luck, tried both via PC and mains adaptor. The moment I plug it in both the red light on the USB AND the red tip come on (it says the tip should only come on when fully charged) and remain on. I never get a green light. It just stays on red. Also, when normally charging simliar batters, the battery feels slightly warm while charging, this is stone cold. Great cigarette, worked amazingly - totally ridiculous that it ran out so quickly and will not recharge.

Very disappointing indeed as I had thought it was perfect way to stop smoking.

Make sure there is no liquid in the charger and make sure the battery threads are clean and dry.

Sounds like a defective charging cable.

re the battery running out of power - yes - the smaller the ecig the shorter the charge. You could get a PT for at work. I chose to carry multiple ecigs (510 manuals and KR808D-1 280mah manuals plus a charged 750mah Riva 510 threaded fat battery as a backup and for just vaping a bit warmer on)

Brodie, Yes!! I have been doing the exact same thing! Glad it's not just me. OK, so I just took it out after about three and a half hours (the light was a little flickery by now, so not constant!) The USB light was still on red. It seems to at least feel as though it's charging via the computer (a little warm), via the mains, nothing at all.

Having said all of the above, it does seem to have recharged somehow. I have no idea how long for, possibly just for half an hour. We shall see.

Thanks for the other replies, they are possibly a little too technical for me at the moment as I don't really know what the abbreviations mean, but I appreciate you trying to help. Mine is a long-sized battery.

I need to buy a second one anyway as I'd need one while t'other is charging. I'll see how it goes tonight before buying another though. I bought mine in a local chemist (as they are far cheaper in there than online) and I doubt they would change it, but they may. I shall see what they have to say.

Thanks Brodie again, possibly the lights are variable depending on your USB ports - the little booklet seems to indicate there may be some variations.

Sounds to me like your mains charger is dead, if it does charge in a USB then it probably is. I always recommend getting at least two batteries and atomizers when you start off, that way if dies on you, you'll have a spare. Also, a Powered USB will charge batteries, you have to remember that it's a trickle charge and not a full power charge. It will charge it but with only one battery, it'll feel like it's never going to happen.

Be SURE you like the brand you have before dumping more money into it... Remember, when you quit smoking you will ALWAYS have to be prepared with extra batteries, chargers, carrying chargers, juice/cartos or you will be forced to smoke. The ECF library has a cool list of the different styles and looks of e-cigs. It can save you money later to get the set up you like BEST now... I use the 808d batteries and vape 24/7 and I have 4 batteries going and 2 personal chargers and that's okay... Many people here hate that hassle and use ego/rivera/bigger battery ones.... check the library before you spend money on tons of stuff and dump it later!

I had no end of bad luck with intellicig personally from a dead battery in my first start kit with them to a dead atty in my second replacement kit one week later. Mix this with a personal dislike of their ECOpure juice (which they use in their pre filled carts) and that the £24.99 starter kits in shops / chemists in the uk lack of a second battery and atomiser means you will often be left wanting something else as you'll constantly wait, counting the seconds for the charge to finish on your single ecig to be done. Intelicigs quality control isn't great IMO.

If you are happy with it (just not with your charger) then sure, consider a second battery and atomizser. Just be warned: buying a second intelicig starter kit would have set you back £50. For that price, whilst you will have 2x USB chargers and 10x pre filled carts and 2 batteries with atties, you could have got a 510 mega kit or any decent 510 ego kit for that price and with a few pounds spare.

I know which kit I'd personally have put it that way... (not so sutble hint: it's not the intelicig lol)

I only paid £24.95 for the kit yesterday. The refills are £3.50.

However, The 'recharged' battery (such as it was!) only lasted about an hour then flashed again. Plugged it in again and, yet again, no change in the light status. Real problem since Intellicig won't issue another one since I bought it from a chemist (I think they won't - haven't checked that out for sure). I DO like them, very much. But yesterday it cost me £30 for one day's smoking which is nuts!

I will try one more kit I think, and also ask the chemist if THEY will change it. But, problem is, I'm smoking a pack of normal cigarettes while this damned one charges (or doesn't!) so it's a total false economy. Real shame.

    in a cave, eh?
I believe the intellicig is a rebranded M402. I would suggest you not pour any more money into your current system. If you feel you must, Heaven-Gifts sells M401 accessories. M401 and M402 are basically the same system; the battery lengths are different.

If you need something that looks like a cigarette, consider the Volt from Smokeless Image. It's a KR808D-1 and there are lots of suppliers to go to for all of the accessories.

I would also suggest you look at the Riva 510 from Liberty-Flights.co.uk. The battery lasts much longer and there are way more options for atomizers and cartomizers for that system. It's pretty reasonably-priced.

With a recipet the chemist should do a swap for you, I know when my first one went wrong the londis newsagent I used happily swapped the whole kit over for a new one. I didn't get a receipt for the replacement kit though and when the atty on that one died I tried to get intelicig online to send me a new atty, but they refused and said I need to go back to the shop vendor. I just gave up with it and now vape something much better. A 510 is defo the way to go as. A new Vaper friend, I second the riva 510 from liberty flights uk comment. You can also take advantage of the 30% off everything totally wicked uk sale. A tornado (a riva 510 rebranded) or Titan kit (an ego 510 rebranded) can be got for relatively cheap.

If it needs to be a cig like and that's important to you, SKYcig uk are a much better vendor and choice then intellicig IMO.
