Ok, so, while researching some safety information for myself all of this has kinda come together. I knew PG was an alcohol, but I never thought it could show on a B.A.C. test. Here's why I believe that. PG is used in cosmetics because of it's lasting moistening effects. This principle does not change (I believe) in it's vapor form. Since the PG vapor sticks slightly to your lungs, not enough to be unsafe, but it is there. Now, I think that somone who vapes as much as I do throghout the day, my lungs are slightly coated, so if given a breath analysis I would show a slight false test due to the PG in my lungs. I called a pharmasist here in Las Vegas and posed this question. He said that their is a good chance of a false test if exposed to PG vapor throughout the day. So I know this seems like no big deal, but it is. As a truck driver I can be shutdown if a test shows any reading, as long as it is not above .04. This is so if there is a flase reading, its no big deal, except, my company will terminate any employee who is shut down, even if it is a flase reading. In fact our employee handbook flat out says to avoid any product that can gove a flase reading specifically for this purpose. Anyone have any information they can point me to that would disprove this? I have switched to analogs (OMG it's horrible) until this issue is resolved.
