I'm interested in trying a cartomizer set up, but I seem to have a problem with PG - I get something that is similar to a condition called burning mouth syndrome. Basically, after I vape PG awhile, the whole inside of my mouth feels like your tongue does after you burn it with hot liquid.

Anybody else get this with PG?

It seems like I read somewhere that some people who have had trouble with PG had didn't have as much of a problem with cartomizers.

Did I dream that? Maybe it was just wishful thinking?

I know that so far there are no VG cartomizers, and I'm not aware of any reduced PG cartomizers.

Is it possible to add a little VG to a cartomzer to lower the ratio of PG?

I know I can buy empty cartomizers and fill them myself, but it would be nice to not always have to fill them myself.

Thanks!

I was using straight PG while I waited for my e-juice order to arrive, I had only one problem (read it here):

answered my self on post #47.

There are peolple with reaction to PG and others to VG. Read that excellent thread to start, it's long but is about users experiences, and mouth is the first contact point with the e-cigarette.

I'm cutting my e-juice with 80% PG + 20% VG just for more vapour production. No problem so far.

There are also vendors out there who have.. or or soon to get... empty KR808D-1 cartomizers. You could fill them yourself with your favorite VG juice.

P.S. IIRC, the price of an empty carto is just about the same as a full one. Economically, it would almost be a "wash" for you just to get PG cartomizers, rinse out the PG and refill them yourself.

I HIGHLY doubt that PG will act any differently from a cartomizer than from a regular atty. I'm not aware of anyone carrying cartomizers with VG unfortunately. Even blank cartomizers are hard to find. Good luck!

That's what I thought, too, but I know I read it somewhere in here, and couldn't help but get my hopes up.

Yep, sounds like me alright...I've been vaping pg liquids mixed with a little snus and VG mixture I made, and I've not had problems with that, so I guess I need reduced PG.

I think that VAPOR4LIFE is going to get vg cartomizers. You may want to ask in that subforum.Im sure someone will know.

Ok, I'll check in there...wonder if anyone will have reduced PG. I hate to give up too much throat hit.

Cartomizers can be rinsed out and refilled with your own liquid. You jsut run hot water through it and blow it out then repeat. do this like 5 times then sit it out for a few hours to dry. At that point you can drip 20-30 drops of your own liquid in. I see no reason why vg wouldn't work.

I wonder if there's enough room left in one to inject a little glycerine to just lower the PG ratio. I wonder if I took a syringe and injected it here and there if it would work.

I've wondered why the price is the same for empty and full carts, too. Seems like the liquid is worth enough to lower the price somewhat.

Thanks, ya'all.

Johnson Creek Smokejuice is a USA manufacturer of eliquids. Just ordered for the first time this week. I was intrigued by the flavors and the fact that they offer "Reduced PG"
blends (20 0r 30% VG mixed with PG). Just got my one bottle in the mail today to try.
I will let know soon as I load up an empty cartomizer (Vapor King user). Hope this helps.
