I thought the Ephedra/Ephedrine ban was put into effect to stop it from being synthesized into methcathinone (methamphetamine). I can still buy Sudafed®, but I have to show ID, and wait behind all the disease-ridden customers with their snotty noses at the pharmacy counter.
