Interesting VMax issue

Hey folks!
Ive had a VMax for about 2 months now and aside from an F2 issue (that was fun figuring out) its been my workhorse as I experiment with other mods and tank/ato set ups.

The issue is, the volt meter ( function 4) is reading the batteries backwards!
as the voltage in the batteries drops, the reading rises!
I noticed it with the stock batteries; in the morning I had hit it, it flashed the voltage then reset the board. tried it again, same thing.
swapped out the batteries and it fires fine but the volts read 7.7, so I watched it and I'll be damned but the reading was creeping up as I used it!
This morning its reading 8.2 and the batteries are dead. swapped them out and its reading 7.7 again but otherwise firing fine!

running a ProTank2 on it, no problems with that.

anyone else experienced this issue?

Thanks in advance!!

John

P.S. posting this here until I can clear my 5 posts :glare: :)

I would contact the vendor you ordered that from IMMEDIATELY, and also contact smoktech. This is a potentially hazardous problem. Your Vmax may not be able to recognize when your battery is fully drains, which means that it will continue to fire past 3.4-3.2 volts, which dramatically increases your chances of experiencing thermal runaway, whether or not the battery safety features are functional. If this isn't the only case and others are lawdy dawty vaping off of theirs with this problem, a lot of people could be at risk of severe burns. Contact the vendor as sood as possible and see if you can send it back for a replacement or store-credit. 2 months is only 2 months. Thats not fair. & it certainly isn't safe.
