Wanted to say hello to those in ECF land and give a bit of an intro. I'm a mom of 4 wonderful kiddo's and one great hubby who gave us quite the scare a few weeks ago. At 35 he went down with heart failure and subsequently left the hospital with a pacemaker. The doctor still has no clue as to what happened, but for some reason the top of his heart just stopped working. The electrical system just shorted out.... Could be a virus or something he had as much as a year or so ago, could have been a bump to the head 6 months ago. Every last test they ran turned up fine, heart cath showed absolutely no blockage. Truly no idea as to cause. We *were* both a PAD smoker for about 20 years. No, the doc said his smoking did not cause this.....but at the same time it didn't help either.

He had two wonderful night nurses who both puffed away at their egics sitting at the nurses station into the wee hours of the night. They both had the cheapie corner store ecigs. I immediately bought hubby and I both one, but knew it wouldn't satisfy him for much longer past recovery. He is also a truck driver and driving and smoking just go hand in hand, lol.

A friend was already an ecig smoker and I had been saying for over a year that I was going to make a switch. Procrastination at it's finest! She directed me to cignot and I decided on the eGo-C Type B Tank system. WOW at the difference between this and the corner store wanna be's!! I can't down the cheapies too much, they did get us through the first week waiting on the real deal, lol.

I kinda wished I had done a bit more research before I purchased. Not really buyers remorse because I am satisfied with the tank system, but the hassle of leaking tanks was frustrating. Started doing more research, found this forum, watched youtube vids and ordered some Stardust from Gotvapes. Really like the system, no leaking at all. Flavor a bit muted though tolerable. Also read up on the Phoenix and should receive a few packs of those (ordered the CE3 XL's from DiscountVapers) today. Looking forward to trying them!!

Haven't touched an analog since June 16, instant convert and not looking back :)

Wow, not so short intro, eh? LOL, well....if you've gotten this far....I do have a few ?'s

I would like to try direct dripping. With hubby being a truck driver that's not really an option for him, but I'm a stay at home mom and the only thing I'm finding difficult for me is getting through an entire Stardust before I'm tired of the flavor. I only have 2 to switch back and forth on. I've been cleaning them out daily and I'm worried about lessening their life by cleaning to change the flavors so much. I tried dripping onto the atty that comes with the eGo tank. Just a few drops, but after a few draws it tastes burnt. Is dripping with this atty possible? I can't really buy anything else for a few weeks (hubby just went back to work this week), so if anyone has any tricks that I can use with the equipment I have that would be wonderful.

On juice..... I read some are better with age. How long do you generally keep a juice that is not to your liking around before calling it a bust and tossing it? I tried a few that I didn't like at first and after a few weeks of aging...well, I still don't like them, lol.

On kids.... With 4 kids, we have never smoked in the house. There is an inner conscience that keeps me in another room away from the kids when I am vaping. Obviously I would never blow the vapor in my kids face or anything, but I'm curious how other parents view vaping in the presence of the kids. I've been known to be over protective, lol.

I'm soooo glad to have found this forum, it's such a wealth of information!! If you made it this far, thanks for taking the time :)

PS Hibiscuits and what my 5 year old has called my favorite flower since she could talk. Maybe one of these days I'll correct her...

Dripping is my choice in delivery, and it can be done while driving with a bottom feeder mod. If you want to try one out there is a cheap one called the Old Goat for around $25 excluding batteries. The ego-c atties in the system I have don't work for dripping, believe me I tried. The juice seems to leak right through to the battery if I just drip into it. I use a LR joye306 currently on an ego battery for dripping, I'm waiting on a bottom feeder mod in the mail.

Juice from what I have read is good for about 2 years I think it is, just store it in a cool dark place. Also revisit old juices you may not have liked at first, as your taste/smell returns that juice may taste better. Also some juices taste better after they have "steeped" for a couple of weeks.

There is a post somewhere on the boards where a guy had his parrot tested for nicotine due to him vaping in the house, there was none found in the parrot. My kids are now grown, I never smoked in the house or in the car if the kids were with me.

Love the name! Gotta love the way little ones can butche the language. My oldest son once came home from kindergarten talking about the tomato drill they had at school. After questioning him for a while we realized it was a tornado drill.

Congrats on your new life. As far as dripping goes , I don't know much about it , tried it & it wasn't for me . But I think that you only get a few hits before you have to add more juice. I have had juice that I hated at first , then a month later loved . I have read that some juices take even longer, plus the fact that your taste will change more after quitting analogs. As far as vaping around kids , there was a recent study comparing ecig vapor to cigarette smoke and they found that a room filled with vapor was safer than standing outside next to a busy road.

For dripping I would recommend just the straight joye 510 atty (NOT the tank atty, but a 510 atty)

It's great at first before you're really hooked into vaping on an atty.
If you wanna throw down a few extra bucks and get a quality atty, I'd suggest maybe a cisco 306 from avid vaper or an io6 from iken vape. They have a much tighter draw compared to 510 attys but once u get them broken in and used to it they're great.

After you're more experienced and have a more advanced vape mod I'd recommend the HH.357 if you prefer the looser airier draw.
