New to the forum, been vaping for over a year. Started with Blu (absolutely a mistake and a waste of money) and moved to a Vision spinner and Kanger MT3 then to a Aspire CF VV 1600 and Kanger pro tank 2. Now Im looking at building my own coils. Cheaper, and I have control over whats actually in my vap, to a better degree anyway, plus I love to tinker. So far from what Ive gathered Ill need a Ohm meter(any ohm meter, or a specific to vaping ohm meter?), Kanthal 32 guage A-1 wire, and either ... cotton wick "towels" or cotton balls. Whats yalls preference and any tips? Thanks everybody in advance.

Just a couple quick tips (matters of opinion). Meter...I can't see spending 10 or more bucks on a meter that only checks resistance on RBAs. I use THIS multimeter for everything. And 32G wire is pretty small. I started with 24G and now use 28G. Oh...Cotton. I use the organic Japanese cotton pads like THESE. I watched a VIDEO that showed these have the best wicking properties.

Thanks.
I'm an aircraft mechanic, so not having to buy another Ohm meter is great. Why the wire difference? Do they last longer? I'm rebuilding stock coils essentially and don't really like anything above about 2.0-2.4 ohm's. Thanks for the cotton suggestion. Its what I was looking at. I was going to get everything form either Mt Baker Vapor or Ecig Xpress. They're close to me and are awesome shops.
