Welcome, welcome! As far as adverse? I cannot really say that I have. When I first started my throat had to get adjusted so there was usually a bit of sore throat involved in the mornings, but nothing that adding more water to the daily intake didn't fix. Also like @Needo said you may cough more before you cough less, but as your longs start their cleansing process it's bound to happen if you had build up.

I wish you the best of luck, but when you find a mod and liquid you like, the road is really easy to travel.

Hello everyone. About 6 weeks since since my last tobacco cigarette. 45 year habit :-( Tried various things over the years (gum, hypnosis, cold turkey more than once, Wellbutrin prescriptions I was afraid to actually take) -- nothing worked like the ecig finally has. I was an early adopter of the very oldest Asian imported pen style ecigs some years ago, but not even that worked when I abandoned it after a time, because I found it so fiddly to constantly refill and maintain, short crappy battery lives etc and I was so lazy, I think.

Then my son gave me an Eleaf 20 about a year ago, which I used on and off-- but still hadn't committed to. Then one night weeks ago I ran out of cigs at bedtime, so fired up the Eleaf the next morning and said I'm doing this. My son then convinced me after a few weeks to try the Kbox Nano and between them I haven't felt a moment of withdrawal misery since quitting tobacco! The new generations of ecigs are light years better than what I first tried (and failed with at the time) years ago and I know a huge part of that comes from the role these very forums and the tireless advocates, educators, researchers and innovators within them have played for years now.

There are just not enough words to thank all of you for all that you've brought to the state of the e-cigarette industry today through your discussion, sharing, encouragement of each other and your activism with the nay-sayers, watchdogs and big govt foes-- making it possible for people even my age with decades and decades of habit to comfortably quit smoking.

The only thing I'm struggling with is what so many here have termed "vaper's tongue". In my case, feels much more like vaper's *nose*. There is a strong phantom smell in my nasal passages, a really cloying, persistent soapy smell. It hit hard about a week ago and hasn't left. The odor reminds me a lot of the melt and pour glycerin soap I used to play with as a kitchen craft hobby some years ago. That stuff was loaded with PG (which I thought was supposed to be odorless) but it smells just like that. My juice has been heavier on the VG, so I don't know really what is up. I've tried lots of the suggested things, tongue scraping, nose drops, sniffing dry coffee grounds, even a vicks type inhaler stick, alternating juices etc. It's one side effect for me, the only one so far, but not enough yet to make me smoke again. I'm going to try to get a different blend of juice tomorrow. 50-50 PG/VG maybe, with something strongly menthol. Hoping strongly it helps.
