No one really knows. Not the best place to ask really, like going to an antivaping forum and ask the same question lol. Reports of 95% are on older tanks at low volts, there are no studies on new gen gear. Nicotine inhalers show formeldhyde, how did they "dry burn" a nicotine inhaler? lol

Medical personal will suggest trying the patch, inhaler or gum first simply because studies show people that quit that way don't continue using the product after 6 months were with vaping most do. Your lungs will be healthier for sure because your no longer inhaling combusted tobacco, although "smoke" is a vapor as well, it has tar in it so of course you'll feel better. We can only test the vapor not what the chemicals are doing to your body. Ask again in about 40 years when we actually "know" something. lol

Maybe that just confirms my suspicion that the vast majority of people enjoy vaping more then wearing patches, using inhalers, or chewing gum? :D

For sure, studies show they are only about twice as good as nothing at all lol. Most everyone that trys vaping at least cuts back drastically. Say for best results try all 3 in lower dosage patch for all day relief, gum to keep mouth busy and inhaler/ecig when cravings are really bad. Only reason they won't suggest ecigs is because they aren't really being used as intended. To quit smoking not to replace it. If studies showed more people dropping MG to zero then quitting vaping we would all suggest it. Even used as intended 5% of a cig is infinitely worse then 0% though so I don't know if they ever will although inhalers show about the same results.

Since I pretty much disagree with everything you state there, it is probably best I move along.

A health personal would say yes obviously. Show only about 7% quit with patch etc. 3.5% cold turkey. Vapers 70% cut back. Nicotine inhalers are just as bad yet they will suggest them for some reason. Only reason I can think of is because of the studies that show we don't quit vaping after we quit smoking. Most of us still vape long after.

My intent was to ween down on nic and quit vaping. I got stuck at 2 nic and still vaping. I say I'm going to lower to 1 nic the next time I get juice, but just can't seem to do it. Been at 2 nic for 10 months now. I'm not in a hurry anymore to quit the nic, and I think a nic level of 2 is pretty low anyway.

Going down to 2 was easy...then when I hit 2 going lower just seems hard to make the next leap down. Maybe I should try 1.5 next. I want to get to zero before all the reg stuff hits and customizing my nic at shops won't be an option. It will probably be a 3 or 0 nic to get, and I don't want to go up, I want to go down.

Really good information. Loving this community. Thank you all for the replies. It's been about a month and honestly, I've not touched a cigg since vape. And I'm not really addicted to vape as well, it's just something that helps me relax throughout the day and keeps me away from cigarettes. But recently, I've been using a bottle of ejuice that keeps gunking up my coil & now i have a fully filled tank, but you know those brown substances just seeps out into my ejuice in my tank. Does anyone have any information if I can still vape on safely or do i have to dispose the liquid and clean my coils immediately? I have very minimal information on gunks. I only know it happens if the ejuice is kinda sweet, but it's the first time i noticed brown substances seeping into my tank of ejuice which kinda affects the taste.

Nah - you can still vape on that so long as it still tastes OK. It sounds like one of your juices contains a lot of sweeteners and/or flavouring/colourings which contribute to gunking up the coils. This will, naturally, lead to having to clean/replace the wicks/coils/heads more often.

I found that I could 'rinse' wicks with just some naked PG as if it was water and this would act to displace some of the 'crud' that was on there - by dripping the PG on the bare coil/wick and then firing the mod for a few seconds is a good way to clean heads and get some extra life out of them IME.

If you don't want to/don't have any PG to clean your heads at this time, then just replace the old head with a new one - be sure to 'prime' the new head well before use, and start to 'break it in' gradually, by starting it off at a bit lower power than where you usually run the coils at.

I usually dump what left back in the bottle and clean coils. if its just the cotton run it under hot water and blow it all out, wrap in paper towel to absorb whatever you cant blow out. If its the coil itself and you can't dry burn it (take cotton out, wash and fire it up a few times to burn off gunk) try leaving it in PGA or vodka overnight, shake a few times then clean with water like before a few times.
