I just started vaping and I'm smoking about 1/4 to 1/6 the number of cigarettes I smoked before so it's really helping me too. My goal is to quit smoking entirely of course. I used to smoke about 3 packs a day for over 40 years.
I just ordered my second mod so that I won't be without my vapor while one is charging.![]()
Hey the notorious welcome. It helped me quit actually I had a choice use the vape or have an angry wife and no money haha. So naturally the choice was easy been vaping for 2 years now I mod and DIY ejuice to. You know what they say happy wife happy life and best of luck. Just vape and life's a joy.
That's a bit of a broad question, and it ultimately depends on the person. Some folks just never quite take to vaping. I smoked for 20+ years and quit the first day I vaped. It really varies. The best I can suggest (not necessarily to you, but to anyone reading and considering vaping as an alternative) is to get a cheap ego setup from your local vaping outlet (usually $15 or so), buy a little juice that sounds interesting, and give it a go. If it works, great!
congrats on kicking those Butts! It'll get easier! It always does!!
I smoked for years, but then switched to dipping. I LOVED smokeless tobacco, I got to the point where I didn't even need to spit. Heck, I've fallen asleep with a lip full of tobacco more than once. I had vaped years ago and knew I liked it, but didn't realize how much it had changed in the past couple years. I decided to give it another go and have not dipped since! No B.S. when I left the shop (bought an Istick 30), there was half a can of tobacco in my car, I never once opened it. Seriously, from the second I got my mod, I was tobacco free (YMMV).
To me, vaping is all the "cool" things about smoking but without the hot/dry crappy feeling in your throat, without the stench that permeates your clothes, without the yellowing teeth, and without the (same level of) health risks.
The best part: what other form of nicotine habit is also a hobby?!?! I mean sure, a smoker can have a cool lighter or a case for their cigs, but it is not even on the same level as this. Vaping, for me, is a cross between a habit and a hobby.... kind of a "Habby"![]()

Glad somone can relate! Thanks pal..Good luck to you theNotorious. You'll do great.
I smoked my last cigarette 2 weeks ago and have no desire whatsoever to ever pick one up again.
Majicjosh, you are so right about shops wanting to sell the cheapo starter kits first. I wish I would have known that before I started with the ec's a few months ago. I just use it as a spare while my Istick is charging, so it's still getting used.
