Maybe they named it Futura so we we can keep hoping that we will receive it in the future. Let's go ahead and rename the thread to, "Yawn... Futura - The dream mod that you may or may not receive communications about before you are so frustrated that you cancel your order." Un-fracking-real. Still no word from Nexgen. In the meantime I've put in a pre-order for a hana modz DNA30. If I don't hear from these guys by the end of the week I'll cancel the order and let my credit card company know not to allow any transactions from Nexgen. I wouldn't dream of doing this if I got some status updates.

i already cancelled and went the hana route its soo worth it

It is a shame they're having growing pains getting this new product launched. But it really is a high quality device and I'm glad I purchased one. The Wizards were out of my reach, the ZNAs are impossible to get and I'm really OCD about my device and only want a non-telescoping tube mod. The Futura in my eyes is on par with Provari. If they keep with it, NexGen will come out ahead I hope.

It is a shame…but you're right, it's a great device. I loved my first one with the DNA20 so much I figured I'd do the "wait" all over again for the DNA30. Without a doubt Jon could have gone about things differently but I don't blame that on him entirely. He probably doesn't have time to hop on a forum due to lack of staff. Every email I have sent him personally has been replied to promptly, so emails probably pop up on his phone like mine and he takes a minute to reply. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

hey guys , i agree the futura is a good device i still use my provari but its just because i have a genny on both and when im too lazy to rewick and coil on one i will swap to the other , i think when my futura gets as old as my provari it will not only be good but will move to the rank of great , so far there have been no reprimands , one small chip of paint to me is normal wear and tear , im more worried if the dna chip will have the life span of the provari chip , the shell of both units seems to be like the pyramids of egypt

Congratulations, NexGen customers!!!,

You are now, for "comedies" sake, obligated to spend the next 60 minutes of your life performing one of the following:

You must . . . (red or blue pill?...eat it)

RED PILL) Sit, wait, observe paint as it dries. -or- BLUE PILL) Wait eagerly at your front door for your Futura to arrive.

Which capsule of life sucking despair would you toss back?!? :-x

Honestly the thread is congested with comments about waiting, complaining about parts shortages (which ALL DNA30 vendors are dealing with).

All good things to those who wait....

I'm taking the CHILL PILL and relaxing. It will get here when it gets here.
I'd much rather they do it slow and right instead of fast and wrong. Take the time to thoroughly inspect each mod before shipping instead of shipping out suboptimal product. So we wait another month or whatever. I plan to be using this mod for years.

This is an interesting point of view.
The reality is that the problems with supply and demand in the vape industry is not exclusive to the Futura (see ZNA, Mark Bugs WE, Hana Mods, Nemesis, Freight Train Mods, or any other high end device). In fact these problems are not limited to mods; high end RDA, juice or tanks are also scarce in the current market.
As much as people (myself included) may have thought that the Futura was some sort of exception to this rule, IT IS NOT.
I will admit that NexGen contributes to the idea that getting one of their mods is "easy" by declaring their product "In Stock" and by consistently under-estimating the delivery schedule; but what I've come to realize is that is that the Futura is the same as any other highly coveted mod, a different type of wait list as it were.
Maybe the market will shift at some point, as the novelty of these devices decline and the industry matures, but economics tell us that it is in the best interest of the supplier to maintain demand >> maximize price, minimize inventory, etc.. And when demand for a device slips, often times that's when v2 hits the market (see the Apple iPhone release model). Moreover many of the suppliers in the high end spectrum of the market are small outfits who prefer not to sustain the overhead required to mass produce their products. This is to the benefit of premium consumers, because it keeps the level of quality high albeit to the detriment of supply.
The truth is that there are no loop holes in this game, no short-cuts. For us customers it basically comes down to, "how bad do you want it", "how much are you willing to pay" and "how long are you willing to wait"?
I am also choosing the chill pill. In my opinion, there is a reason why there is no wait list for a Sigelei Zmax (or maybe there is I haven't checked, I'm waiting for my Futura).

I really don't need the DNA30, I'm a 10-11watt vaper. I switched from Protanks and picked up a Russian 91% when I ordered my Futura, and recently one of the KLF+ clones from Kidney Puncher. I build a 1.5 ohm microcoil with cotton and it's perfect for me on these devices. That said, if NexGen updates the rocker switch to allow for power locking, I would probably order another Futura at that point.

FYI: Kidney Puncher has Russian 91%s on in the pre-order section again, Round 3. Release end of March.

I can't believe that Jon is answering other people and just ignoring me since I have only done one transaction and politely asked for an update on 2 separate occasions. And BTW, drawing comparisons to other DNA30 device vendors is a bit silly. Yes, they all have shortages and Evolv is doing their best to crank out chips to all. But how do you know what problems Nexgen is having? Zen communicates. Hana communicates. The Cyborg guys communicate.

I'm not asking for a personal email here either. Blast a single email to your back logged customers explaining what's happening and what we should expect. It's not just bad customer service - it's disrespectful - to leave people waiting in the dark. As for me, I'm pretty sure I won't hear anything by Friday given that I haven't heard a peep since I ordered. And that will bring a close to my relationship with this company before it got to go anywhere.

Amazing that people are still following others off of this cliff. You guys have more trust than I do. Hope everything works out.

Begining to think i should just get a ZNA or go the Hana route. So much potential but not sure it's worth an indefinite wait with no communication after handing over a few bills.

I am in the same boat ordered a month ago #2124. I totally get that vendors have supply issues and delays can sometimes be inevitable but Jon replied to my email on the 12th of February saying it would ship that week. Needless to say it didn't and none of my emails since have been acknowledged. I have paid for mine as at the time the website claimed they were available which clearly they were not. Again I understand that there can be teething problems but to basically fail to respond to requests for information on a product I have paid for is not really good enough. It has made me very nervous about the after sales service should I ever need it. My first real high end mod and it's been a pretty low end experience so far.
