Which capsule of life sucking despair would you toss back?!?
This is an interesting point of view.
The reality is that the problems with supply and demand in the vape industry is not exclusive to the Futura (see ZNA, Mark Bugs WE, Hana Mods, Nemesis, Freight Train Mods, or any other high end device). In fact these problems are not limited to mods; high end RDA, juice or tanks are also scarce in the current market.
As much as people (myself included) may have thought that the Futura was some sort of exception to this rule, IT IS NOT.
I will admit that NexGen contributes to the idea that getting one of their mods is "easy" by declaring their product "In Stock" and by consistently under-estimating the delivery schedule; but what I've come to realize is that is that the Futura is the same as any other highly coveted mod, a different type of wait list as it were.
Maybe the market will shift at some point, as the novelty of these devices decline and the industry matures, but economics tell us that it is in the best interest of the supplier to maintain demand >> maximize price, minimize inventory, etc.. And when demand for a device slips, often times that's when v2 hits the market (see the Apple iPhone release model). Moreover many of the suppliers in the high end spectrum of the market are small outfits who prefer not to sustain the overhead required to mass produce their products. This is to the benefit of premium consumers, because it keeps the level of quality high albeit to the detriment of supply.
The truth is that there are no loop holes in this game, no short-cuts. For us customers it basically comes down to, "how bad do you want it", "how much are you willing to pay" and "how long are you willing to wait"?
I am also choosing the chill pill. In my opinion, there is a reason why there is no wait list for a Sigelei Zmax (or maybe there is I haven't checked, I'm waiting for my Futura).
