Here's an informative video on 18650's great synopsis of the current batteries that you're talking and most other vapers want to know about .... Which is, how did they test, and "WHICH ONES SHOULD I buy" ? ..... IF you think it's too long of a video skip to around 8 min in. And if you think this post is entirely too long skip the pm entirely

Or just know that this kid is pretty knowledgeable and highly recommends the samsung 25r's says they match up to the vtc5's which are really 20 amp continuous?? I'm taking this kids word on it! I'm buying Samsung 25r's!!

I have a dozen, they're fine, I also have a dozen HE2s and they're about the same

Well, you guys sure swap a lot of batteries. That's why I made improvements to the mod to make the door a breeze to take off and put on.

The great thing about having multiple mods is that you can dedicate one to each juice. I like to vape 28 mg right when I get up in the morning, as that's when my craving is the strongest. The 28 mg gives me a nic buzz just like a cigarette used to. And then for the rest of the day I just vape a much weaker juice. That way I can vape a lot and not get a headache.

Main reason I change batteries so often is I enjoy the "full hit" from fresh batteries. One of the cool things from your original design was the upgrade module that would give constant voltage.

Yes, have seen that, which is why I put the 25Rs in my REOs.

I use AW in reos as the reo was designed around it. I'll use VTC in my tmod for the same reason. In the OP here I think I saw AW but unsure yet if there is 1 perfect fit battery for this

Yeah, I started out with AWs but then I also tried out a lot of other batteries, like Panasonic, Sony, and Samsung, etc... The mod will work fine with all battery types, I will make sure it does.

Not sure what you mean 'Designed around them', there are better batteries then AW today, and they work fine in all mods
AW batts are significantly shorter in the barrel than the vtc lineup. The nipple adds to the height but it goes into the slot at the pos connecting switch. This leaves more length of the vtc in the battery chamber. It squishes the hot spring nearly down flat. That spring is supposed to drop in the event of a hard short and break connection. The shorter AW batteries allow this safety function whereas the longer sony cells do not. The spring is already squished with nowhere to go.

One reason I use a fuse... to fit the vtc cell in without a shoe horn.

Are you saying that vtc5 batteries are longer and compact the spring too much? I thought aw's are longer because they are button top? Can you comfortably use vtc5 or samsung 25r in a Reo grand?

The button top slides comfortably into the slot opening for the positive contact. It doesn't add to the overall length of the battery for the purposes of the reo.

I've had my 3 reos fuse modded for so long, I forget. Though I suspect the samsungs might fit. Albeit a bit on the snug side. But they're noticeably shorter than the sonys.

My vtc5 Sonys fit fine and yes the spring will drop if shorted. I had It happen.

Well in that case here's a link to authentic batteries and the cheapest prices I've seen since I started vaping in 09.

Batteries, Chargers, and PowerPax Carriers

I just ordered a couple more 25r's and 2 button top ones also. I seem to have a whole lot less arcing going on with button tops in my Reos than with flat tops, with our without Deoxit. I like the Samsung batteries quite a bit and want to try those button tops. And you're right, they are having some super prices right now!

Lol I bought (2) 25R button top for MY RSM CRUISER and *NEW BACK WRINKLY REO Grand which Is in MD otw to Chitcago!
AND (2) 25R flat Top for my vv/vw
I was going to buy more but I'll wait for the new run of vtc5s which might be just in time for why we're here the "mymod" release!

I do still use AWs in my Reos, in particular, the 2200s. But I do switch off with the Samsung and VTC5s. In all the Reos, I notice heavier arcing and my batteries constantly need re-positioning, almost like the door magnets are pulling the flat tops out of position. I don't have that with the button tops. But I do still use the flat tops, just a little more fuss.
