I am no expert in batteries. Wouldn't a higher mah rating, all other specs being the same, make it a better battery ?

That's really the thing, not all other aspects are the same

but from what you suggest (which isn't the case) if all things were equal, sure I'd say it's a better battery

but again, that's not the case with the VTC4 vs VTC5

Battery Tests - Album on Imgur

This graph from Illumination seems to favor the VTC5 when compared with the VTC4 and the LG HE2 all at 35A .

AMP limit is lower than the VTC4s

for me that's more important that a few hundred mah
Can you educate me because both amp limits are 30 continuous and from all the tests done and provided in the video I linked a few pages back both don't even put out 30 more like 20amp max cont ..... But they both are falsely advertised as 30amps so I go to more mAh more battery life that's why I say it's the better battery ......it's a no brainer really? Is there a test where you've seen the vtc4 out perform the vtc5, if so, I'd like to see it. Because vtc4s are in abundance......!

Only problem with the vtc5 is the heat build up on Continuous high amp discharges.

The vtc4 doesn't hold its voltage under load for crap.

Since we don't continuously discharge our cells, I'd take the vtc5 all day every day... if they still made them.

I'll use mine until they're used up and switch to the next best things or my Samsungs or HE2s.

FYI: Samsung has a couple batteries in the R series that handle loads better than the vtc4... All "rated" @ 20 or 22 amps Continuous.

I didn't think it was in the beginning, but maybe now with the new revisions? Dunno, but we'll see!

The module is not standard. It's an optional device because some folks only want a purely mechanical device. By making it an optional accessory, I can release the mod quicker, and also offer it at the affordable price I'm offering.

And right now, mechanicals are all I use, but that's cool having it as an option for an add-on accessory.

Amazing - the most action this thread has gotten and its a pissing contest over batteries...Gawd are we bored?

Hopefully that'll change once my mod is ready, which will be soon. I'm as anxious as you guys to get it all ready because ever since I started using my prototype in public, I've been getting comments from women.

Will the early mods be upgradable when the module becomes available? I'm a mech guy myself but others may want to lnow.
