No, I'm going to assemble them this weekend. I was actually going to do it on yesterday but the news of the FDA regulation really depressed me a bit.
You'll have to be a little more resilient in future to survive in this regulated market.
Making a mod is not a license to print money and as you have found, it's a lot of work. If it speeds things up, you can just send mine and i'm sure i'll figure out how to assemble it.

Damn Paul you have a skill and if/when the _ _ _ _ hits the fan I'm glad I'm in the same state as you. We'll become part of the underground and for a small fee I will come by and help you assemble mods.

Thanks, assembling it is easy. I've already finished assembling half of them. I was just testing everything/playing with voltage drops/writing the instructions on how to get the most of the mod,etc...
I got around 0.28V drop at 0.7 ohm. That's with everything cleaned, Noalox applied to the joints. It turns out the coil spring sucks, that by itself leads to 0.1V drop. Good thing I had a backup plan. The place where the coil spring attaches to the mod can also accept a set screw, so instead of a spring, one can also use a set screw (provided) to affix the battery for much better connection. But I'll provide the spring anyway since I got it made.
I want to try one more thing (will not take long) that can possibly decrease the voltage drop further before I ship it. Ideally I want to get it to around 0.20-0.22ish at 0.7 ohm. But if I don't, I guess 0.28V (at 0.7 ohm) isn't too bad for a first try.
