The folks here at ECF are the most knowledgeable vapers anywhere and a tough crowd to please so I HAVE to keep it interesting...
I have many more interesting ideas that I want to share in the future too

I wonder if most people prefer an atty with the one center positive post and the negative one being placed close to it or with both post off center and further apart? The latter would make it easier to coil it seems.

Just wondering what your reasoning was behind wanting to put the cut-off at 3v7? Loaded or no-load voltage?
User serviceable battery without having to disassemble?
A Simple Li+ charge IC and standard microUSB connector would be great, but I can see the costs going up fast.

My opinion, both off center. easier to coil. Is it time for a vertical coil yet?
And why don't we add solar recharging on top of that too? haha.
yeah, I used Solidworks, great for simulation before actually building.
Perhaps the cutoff should be more around 3.3V, just to protect the battery from being ruined by a complete discharge.
I had already removed so many suggestions from that post because I realized they just led down the path to becoming a feeder based MVP etc.
I like SolidWorks... I don't like their release schedule, service pack schedule or sheer number of bugs/issues and HATE the fact they don't let you save into forms that are compatible with previous versions... but it's good design software with all kinds of add-ons like thermal etc. Speaking of simulation, are you 3D printing before working with metal?
I'm figuring people are already using batteries with protection circuits, and you can tell the diff in your vape well before you reach 3v3... not that redundancy is a bad thing... but at 3v7, I would have been modding your mod.
Oh yeah... feel free to tell me you will do things your way in public or via PM, I have no confusion that this is YOUR design and am just conversing with you about it. I may write something critical, but it's not to criticize you or your design, just offering my thoughts and opinions with positive intent.
Just curious Paul have you seen the Magma RDA I absolutely love this atty and would love to see it become a bottom feeder!! The upper chamber is concaved small and the wicks lay vertical into a recessed area!! It just works flawless..... And it seems to work better Imo as a dual coil although, you can run one or two coil setups .... the option is nice. It rarely leaks unless you overfill it. The Odin looks like the Magmas big brother but doesn't offer much of a reduced chamber.
It is already used as a bottom feeder.

Thanks. But I think it will be difficult to tell the difference in vapes with the regulator in place since the sole purpose of the regulator is to keep the driving voltage relatively constant regardless of battery terminal voltage.
The Magma looks interesting. I wonder how much more difficult it is to coil that thing, compared to, say, a RM2.
Your mod design looks nice! I have yet to get into mechs, but I know what a huge following REOs enjoy on here and I'd be willing to try a bottom feeder mod with a reasonable price point. The option to run regulated sounds smart, wider appeal that way. Keep us updated, your mod looks great so far!

I'm not sure how hard the rm2 is to coil but the magma is really simple 2 post design with airhole under each coil deep well seems to be conducive for bf 'ing holds at least 40 drops coupled with that 10 ml bottle all day continuous vaping !

Just curious if you would or could configure the top firing button to the upper part of the side.... I guess you would use trigger finger and possibly sqounk with lower thumb part of your palm.... If you follow? I'm not crazy about top firing box mods..... Although I understand the mechanical battery contact of it.
