what happened to the battery, being submerged?

It's totally shot. I suspect that it may even have vented while down there. Maybe not, but there was some cooked gunk at the pos connection. It may have been just bayou gunk, though. The battery positive is completely rusted over.

Sounds like you've GOT the best "boat mod"...just get another Reo that gets to stay home all clean and shiny...

Gots ta have moar! Backups to the backups and multiple flavors all day. I never leave the house with less than three flavors/mods.

I only made enough for the people that stayed on my list, and a couple of extra ones. Couldn't make more as they are expensive to make, look at how much machined parts there are.

Pretty sure it did. I only took out 3 of my favorite colors. My desk is a mess now and the lighting is not good. I'll post a pic of the red tomorrow morning.

There is no black. That gunmetal appears black due to the lighting, but it's actually not black.

I made enough for the people on my list, and this goes all the way back to 2014. I couldn't make too much in the first batch. This is not a mass produced item and there are many machined parts. Add in the small quantity and the unit cost is high. There might be a couple of left after the people on the list gets theirs, and then I'd be glad to ship one to you. But some of the folks on the list have been waiting for over a year.

Future batches clearly won't take near as long, maybe 3 weeks, since I got all the bugs worked out and the suppliers lined up. So those who wants one in the future can get on a "new list" again.

Umm..I am relatively new to squonking, and definitely new to this thread, although I have been lurking here for some time. Can I ask to be added to the "extras list" if there will be any?

Sorry, I feel like I should have been a bit more humble. I know people have been waiting a long time for this. Looks like a unique design and if it's even close to being as affordable as has been mentioned, I'm in. Whether ones available now (or soon) or in a future lot, I just want to throw my hat in the ring.

Gunmetal...nice, but if there's a red option...seems up my alley!
