I guess I'm not planning to do a 22mm one because I feel it's an arbitrary size, made to fit the 18640 tube mods flush.

I hear people saying 13mm is too small to build on, or that larger chamber gives more clouds, but at the same time they still mention a domed top or a decreased chamber size for better flavor. So I guess 16mm would probably be optimum for a cloud chaser.

13mm yes please!
I love my IGO-S and would gladly see all my 22's go away to someone who uses them. (Just my preference)
Just finally sold my nuppin also, to a nice member here that enjoys them immensely.
I just never got the flavor from the nuppin I enjoy with my IGO-S.
I'll send you one if you'd like to play with it, I've acquired most of the remaining ones in the world I could find...just found two more last week and ordered them.
You'd have to bf it, or if you don't have the tools (doubt that) I'll do one for you. :)
Our shared style of vaping is a bit rarer these days...but its what I enjoy.
Not knocking anyone else's style, but its rare I can get excited about hardware for my oldskool style. I know Italians love it, but I don't get excited about $100 attys;)

Ok I'll throw this out there...I'd love to see a 20mm atty, top fed but channels the air down and under the coils. I'm saying 20mm overall since you're going to have to use some type of chamber reducing air channeling device....that's what you're here for Paul :)
Leakproof....under coil airflow....add a doomed topcap to enhance flavor....standard 510 compatible....2 post... And just for fun build it out of some really cool material.

You will sell all you can produce...trust me...
There's no atty I'm aware of that has ALL these features

Nauti, have you tried the forge?
It delivers air via channels that sit under the coil, but they start at the side not the top, it's 22.
MCV makes it and Roscoe had em for a bit.
It's fun for me to play with and the only 22 that's built and sitting on a mod ready to go, though it sits a lot, that's just me.

i avoid channelled air flow like the plague

direct onto the coils is best for me

18mm is a good ID, 20 would leave you with a 22mm attie like all the rest. 16 is good too

small chamber with cyclops AFC would be good, similar to a nuppin, but not such a bugger to build, since yours will have velocity posts

some squonkers are quite... particular about post and feed materials, for fear of lead. SS is widely supported, not sure if there is a better option for conductivity that has no lead content

Yep that's what I was saying 18Id... 20 outside. Why the aversion to channeled air?
Titanium baby...titanium.... Would be cool!
But stainless would be ok :)

I had looked at the forge but it appeared to be a leaker??

i've only tried a few, but the draw doesn't feel right, seems more "tank-like" in the feel of it to me. I think air should always travel he shortest possible distance to my mouth

Have you tried the Manta? There's an inner channel which works flawlessly Imo.... Unless you over sqounk which I've learned not to do....but even then it just gurgles for a bit and you could vape through it.
The reduced domed inner top cap has alot to do with the AMAZING FLAVOR !

okay, so no one has objected to the 16mm/13mm INNER diameter proposal so far... The 13mm for tootle puffers, and 16mm for the cloud guys.

1. Is it safe to assume that "generally" cloud guys will consume e-juice faster than tootle puffers?
2. Is it safe to assume that "generally" cloud guys will build bigger coils than tootle puffers?

The 13mm will need to have smaller post holes due to limited space.
thanks

The answer to both is yes. Bigger coils, more juice consumed. I, myself am a die-hard 20-22mm atty user. Anything less seems rather anemic to me.

I think it has to do with power more, as opposed to the physical size of the coil. Cloud chasers generally vape at a higher power than tootle puffers. They need big cottons to soak up lots of juice to prevent burning. And that requires bigger coils, not necessarily because bigger coils burns more juice. You can build a lower powered, high resistance big coil too using a thin wire.

Those who vape more than 10ml a day are probably cloud guys. Those who vape 3ml a day are probably tootle puffers. Right?
