Hello,
I'm seeking advice about 0% nicotine e-juice vaping. I'm a 57 year old man who recently suffered a heart attack. Fortunately I'm on the mend and feeling swell having stopped smoking cigarettes, dramatically improved my diet and exercising regularly.

I began vaping after braking the nicotine habit so it's only 0% e-juices for me.

I use a couple eGo twists with Boge LR cartomizers, a few LR Clearomizers and eGo C-tank carts. I'm experimenting with lots of e-juices from as many venders in various VG/PG ratios looking for a satisfying TH.
Without Nicotine, I'm finding this a challenge.

This could be any combination of factors; 0% nicotine, underpowered mods, wrong
carto/atty resistances, volt and/or ohm settings, improper vg/pg ratios.

I assume most don't of you don't use 0% nic. juice but maybe someone has a few

suggestions for how to improve my lot.

Things I bought to improve TH.
100% PG liquids from Juicy Vapes on recommendation from pbusardo.
A few offerings from Tasty Vapor.
The Saber Touch Midi with the adjustable AC adapter passthru, a pretty serious mod.

To cover most all the bases,

Smok Tech 4.5 ohm 510 cartomizers
Boge - SC - 3.0Ω cartomizers
510 Dual Coil - (4XL) cartomizers
The Yeti/eGo/510 – Atomizer

Note. I haven't gotten any of these goodie yet and with a little luck the above will address the TH problem. But until my Midi arrive (10 – 30 days) I have a few questions.

Geez, I'm rambling. My apologies.

Cheer,
Jeff

Throat hit comes from the nicotine. Pg just allows it to come through while vg masks it. Vg will give more vapor though. Most people like some combination to get both effects. Personally, I like 70%pg

Since you are vaping 0nic, you will have to vape things that can give a throat hit type feeling. Things like mint, menthol, cinnamon, citrus, and some companies offer a product called Koolio or koolada. The Koolio and koolada give the mint/menthol hit in the throat without adding the mint/menthol flavor.

There are some juice companies that will add it. If you can't find one, you can buy just the Koolio/koolada from DIY places. You just put a few drops in your juice.

Hi Rabdaddy.....this is indeed an unique situation. Even I would like to know, whether one can get a Th without the nicotine, that will be just great for all. As per my experience, the lower I went on the nic level, the more watery/vapoury the inhale became. Trying out all the different devices, in the market may not be your solution...

True, that.
Are there any benefits of using high voltage for a greater hit if you can avoid too much burn? Can't hardware help a bit?
I ask cause I just dropped too much money on a Saber Touch Mini with the variable voltage AC adapter just to have options.

Hello and welcome! I'm also a 0 nic vaper, although new to it all. Thoroughly enjoying my ego-c twist and vivi nova. I'm using some DIY e-liquid I made, watermelon, VG, and vodka. If you have the means to you could try making some DIY stuff, that way you could control the proportions and ingredients, and tailor it to the exact throat hit you want.

Hi Rabdaddy! Welcome to ECF - glad to hear you are on the mend from your heart attack and living a healthier lifestyle. Now, many people will tell you that there is NO throat hit whatsoever in 0-nic juices. In my experience, this could not be further from the truth. I have been vaping 0-nic for almost a year now and have been very satsified with the throat hit. IMHO, juice has nothing to do with it. Its the equipment. I think your Sabretouch will be perfect. Just experiment with your equipment and you will find your sweet spot. Try first a higher voltage with one of your higher resistance cartos. You can also try a lower voltage with a lower resistance carto. I have found that both work well for me. I vape 50/50 0-nic juice (from Mountain Oak Vapors = the BEST JUICE AVAILABLE!!). OOPS - sorry! But I love their juice so much I want to share it with everyone!! :)

Anyway, best of luck to you - it will take some experimenting and some research, but you will get there...:)

Hardware is just going to increase the amount of vapor and temperature of vaporsnd a result, the flavor. It can't effect throat hit because throat hit only comes from nicotine

Some people confuse heat of vapor with throat hit, but it's not

Thanks, AutumnWolf. I hope you're right.
Mroutlaw seems quite certain this isn't the case. That's why I joined the forum.
I'm excited about Flash & Koolada and of course the Saber Touch Mini.
