Elphaba, you and I switched to cartos about the same time, how do you like it?

I am doing really good with them and Dexter has great prices too!

I finally tried the Taryn Spin and man it works great. I have a couple that I am using now and wow what a difference! This spin forces all the liquid down without going into the center post. I am using RY4 and hopscotch. The HS is thin and works good on cartos but the RY4 and RY5 is thick and I was having some problems with the cartos getting too hard to draw on. This spin has made amazing differences with the RY4 that I am using.

How are you getting by with the cartos?

Hey Padre, I don't know if you care or not ... we all have our own ways of filling cartos, but what I do is stick a round toothpick in the center hole while I fill or refill the carto.

Once I start getting a little leakage out of the batter end I gently blow out the excess and then lay the carto on its side for about 15 - 20 minutes.

Good to go from there with no spinning or anything!

I remember you saying that before. I still seem to get some of the liquid in the middle. I may try it again though

With the toothpick in there you likely won't get much liquid in the center hole.

When your done filling the carto just gently blow it out two or three times to get the excess out. You'll get a little excess regardless of how you fill it, even with a syringe.

And SecondBreath, hijacking Threads is what I do best ... even my own Threads! LOL But I have to help out my buddy Padre!
