For those of you who would like to keep updated on news from CASAA regarding e-cigarette legislation, Call to Actions and news, but don't have access to Twitter or Facebook or get to our site often, CASAA has created a new blog at Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association! All of the news and alerts posted at CASAA.org will be added to the blog,

From this blog, you can keep updated by becoming "follower," signing up for email alerts or getting the RSS feed to your news reader. You can also share the blog posts on your social networking sites.

Just another service to our members to achieve our mission to "ensure the availability of effective, affordable and reduced harm alternatives to smoking by increasing public awareness and education; to encourage the testing and development of products to achieve acceptable safety standards and reasonable regulation; and to promote the benefits of reduced harm alternatives!"

The blog will be a reposting of all the same News and Call to Action updates that are already posted on casaa.org, so it's redundancy probably wouldn't affect search engine results any. The site gets a ton of updated, fresh content for SEO from the News and Call to Action pages. But those sections on casaa.org don't have any way to "subscribe" to get updates, so this news blog is just a way for people (who don't have Facebook or Twitter) to get the follow the updates on casaa.org. Hopefully Webby will set up blog.casaa.org and we will tie it into the site that way. Elaine and I (who do the updating) both already have our own blogs on Blogger, so it is also just easier for us to update the CASAA blog, too. We also put a ton of lionks on the blog back to casaa.org - which relevant linkbacks are also a good SEO techniques.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to find CASAA on Google, James. I just googled "CASAA" and it comes up as #1 now. I googled "Oregon HB 3588" (on a recent Call to Action we had) and CASAA came up #3. What search terms are you using?

Glad to see the google placement getting higher!
