Can't wait to see how these are. I think separate chargers is what puts a lot of people off of mods, me included for the most part, so this could be a game changer.

I like to be able to vape, and charge at the same time. With a separate charger, which I already have it would be the best of both worlds.

I think in device charging with mods like this is really great. I like my iTaste MVP but I know some folks would like to be able to swap batteries and charge out of the device. If this is a quality product, they will sell a ton of them.

Just a heads up on the Evic recall and serial numbers !!!!!
Dear All Valued Customers,

Confirmed by laboratory of Joyetech, due to components change in production, eVic produced during 2012-12-16 to 2012-12-18 may have a functional defect---the control head will delay its work after you press the enter button.

After careful deliberation, to be responsible for customer satisfaction of normal use, to keep the brand integrity of Joyetech, we decide to replace these potential faulty eVic control heads.

Device Serial Number (serial number for your control head):
212160001-212161370
212170001-212172500
212180001-212181031

We already contacted with related distributors which received above device, and informed package serial number for their checking. They would represent Joyetech to replace eVic control head for you freely.

If you found your eVic device has above problem and device serial number is listed as above, please contact with your vendor to exchange your control head.

Please provide your package serial number, security code and device serial number to your vendor, they will verify and replace for you.

For more detailed information, you may visit our official website Joyetech electronic cigarette, Tank System, Changeable System, eVic, eRoll, eGo-C, eGo-T, 510-T, e-Liquid or send an email to service@joyetech.com

We apologize for any inconvenience to you and your valued customers! We try to continuously improve our perfect products to satisfy you!

Well, the v1.2 version beta is out, so I downloaded it. Instead of a puff counter, they listened! the main screen now shows the current time and date. There is a MVR VV, and VW setting. I'm not sure what the MVR VV/VW is for yet, however. It is a step forward in any case.

If no atomizer is present, it now states "No Atomizer Found", no find!

There is also a choice between F and C, so we older folks don't have to scratch our heads on the temperature!

No puff counter!

Attention Mac users. They have now included y'all, so quit griping!

Ok I've had this thing for a couple days now and I LOVE IT!

I love that it shows the battery level on it's screen. No more wondering how much is left and/or if I should switch batteries before I leave the house or not. I also am loving the MVR VW. Have that set to 11w for half a second then 8.5 to 4 secs and then step down 1w each half a second after that. It gives it a nice quick boost in the beginning, a normal 8.5w vape for the most of my vape time and then steps down after that since I don't usually vape past 4 secs anyways. Figure if it's past 4 secs it's more than likely not on purpose so it ramps all the way down. All my vivi novas are from 1.5-2.2 ohms depending on how I wrapped them the day I built it and seems to work flawlessly on each one every time. No more messing around with VV setting each time I swap one, which I do a LOT. I usually have 3-5 vivi novas in my pocket for when I feel a need to switch. hehe

I also bought the eGo-T Mod 18350 Battery Tube so I have a mini when I want. Works like a charm! Can't wait for someone to carry the 3400mah batteries for it! They need to make a metal or more durable usb cap for it too. That thing is going to get broken for sure. Especially if you charge it that way. I just use my charger since I have some extra batteries for it, and it's easy enough to just swap em out.

As a side note... my Provari now sits in a drawer. :-o It's lasted me a long time and was great but I just like the eVic better. Not as paranoid about losing it as much either since it's no where near the price. Not to mention I can see the time on my ecig now, got to love that! LOL

Informational only ... I have recharged the eVic by USB cable 50 times now ... and it's still in the same new condition. As long as it's not forced, I can't see any problem developing.

Although I have a Provari on the way, I don't think it'll have the ease of use, instant oversight, voltage adjustments on-the-fly, fast eGo-connection clearo swaps, etc. one finds in the eVic when you are out and on the go. But for a VV device that can go down to .8Ω for RBAs it's probably one of the best ways to go.

Yeah but from the few things that do have the little caps over them... they never seem to last long on them. It would just be nice to see something more sturdy to cover that with. That is true though about the nothing else I use even has a cover over them any more. I only use the usb to change settings so... see how long it lasts on there.

I only use 1.5-2.2 ohm vivi novas any more. The 2 amp limit or what ever it is, or being able to go down to .8 ohms, just doesn't bother me. The provari served me well for a long time and it'll remain a really good back up. I just like the VW & bells & whistles of the eVic so much more than the sturdiness & precision of the provari. Still feels odd in my hand, the eVic, it's so light in comparison. hehe

Anyone else's eVic screen look cloudy? Like half of my screen looks cloudy and I don't know why. At first I thought it was my glasses... I've had my eVic for about 2 weeks...
Once inadvertently got some oil on it, wiped it off with a cloth and ISO.

Although I often use the eVic in humid environments, I have never seen any condensation build-up yet.

Maybe it got wet and you didn't notice, got in under the fire-button and condensing inside?

Thanks for the reply. I think I may have scuffed the screen somehow. I don't know. I wish the plastic didn't fall off. It's not humid where I use it. I always take off my Vivi Nova when I fill it. I've never dropped it. I honestly don't know.. lol. I just might jump on the P bandwagon when I get my income tax return...

Hello everyone,

Found you in an ECF Search for "evic." ..I hope this doesn't come as uninvited.

Have you visited the Joyetech web site lately? They are going to ship the eVic with a 3400 mAh Battery soon. GotVapes is going to start carrying it after the Chinese Break, sometime after Feb 17th. Joyetech calls the new Battery a Sanyo 18650B (vs the Pink Samsung 2600 mAh they call Sanyo 18650 now), but it's a Panasonic NCR18650B 3400 mAh Li-Ion, with Protection added by Sanyo for Joyetech.

Here's a link ..Joyetech eVic starter Kits, Vapor Intelligent Cigarette

I was just in contact with Chris today, at GotVapes, and he agreed that it's a good idea to start carrying the eVic Starter Kits with the 3400 mAh Battery in all 3 new colors; Black, White, and Shiny Silver (as opposed to the original Silvery finish). They are also going to carry this 3400 as a Spare. With the addition of this new Battery, I'm pretty certain this means the official release of Firmware 1.2 (or whatever they'll call it) so the 3400 can be supported. And the new MVP should be officially released, too, because the new Firmware needs it to activate/setup some new features. This 3400 may also mean higher the Wattage that some people have been waiting for - we'll see.

I'm also very interested in the Xtar SP2 Charger they carry, so I can Charge while I Vape (and the USB Cap thing), and because this Charger charges at 0.5, 1, and 2 Amps, in case I ever purchase a Lithium Manganese IMR. Of course, I'll only charge an eVic ICR at 0.5 Amps (500 mA), but I think it would be nice to have the options. And it's a very good Charger that follows the 18650 Battery Spec for proper charging, too. Not many follow it that well. All good for Safety and longer Battery Life. I know I'm talking too much about the Charger, but this Charger also cuts off the charge at ~4.17V, instead of all the way up to 4.2V, which is better for longer Battery Life. So far, GotVapes doesn't have this ...yet. I'm gonna work on it with 'em.

I'm getting the new Kit, a Spare Battery, and the Charger. They will probably carry the new color Battery Tubes and the colored Bezel Covers, too. IDK, but prolly. I didn't think to ask them about the 18350 Tubes, but if that's what you're into, then you could contact them about it.

Just spreading the word around, and tossing in my :2c: ..BTW - I love the eVic!!!
