Hello I will first introduce myself my name is Jan and I'm from the Netherlands. I am now vaping for 5 weeks and since then have not smoked a regular tobacco cigarette. Now the part where I need some help.

I have tried - Vision vivi nova v3
- Kanger mt3
- smoktech dual coil 1,5 ohm in a dct tank

The first two i didn't like very much.
I really like the draw on the dct along with the 5ml tank also the vapor production is really great. But the flavour is a bit muted.

Know i am looking for something with the draw of the cartomizer.
And the full flavour with good vapor production.

I would like some tips on what to buy.
Say a genesis style like the aga t or a dripper or the killer 705 maybe even the boge single coil.

What would you recommend ?

I don't mind building my own coil so that's not a problem.

Oh yeah i am using a Smoktech Zmax v2 rms.

Welcome to ECF . For flavor , the best is some sort of addy . Either already made , or get into the rebuildables . There are two basic types . One's that use a silica , or cotton wick , ( Penelope , Ody ) are examples . Or you can go the genesis route . The genesis gives a sharper , cleaner taste , while the silica , give a smoother , more rounded flavor . Your choice really . Lots of cheap rebuildables to try out , before you commit to a pricier model . Almost all the vendors sell these , so take a look , and take your pick . Good Luck

I agree with the other posters, but don't write off carto tanks just yet in terms of flavor you should definitely try out a Boge carto. The draw tightness only depends on the air hole, and Ideally you don't want it too tight.
If you're willing to experiment with a clearo I can highly recommend kanger T2, (mini) vivi novas are nothing like these. They taste surprisingly good. (e-cig4u.nl carries them, for the coils go to cmalo.nl) The coils last about a week of heavy vaping.

Thank you for your input. Oke i am using the boge now but not without problems. I had some issues with the correct size hole in there for use in a tank. But i have too say if it works flavor is better. I also got a protank and it looks good and it's easy screw of cap fill it up srew the cap back on and vape but you can't use your one driptip.

Hi Jan and welcome to ECF!

Before you give up on your DCC carto tank, give it another chance! Try it with a LR Boge XL cartomizer. You can buy pre-punched cartomizers individually or in 5-packs. Dual coils are awful unless you use them on very high voltages--and even on high voltages they are not great.

Thanks for your input i am using the sr boge xl now.
I will try the lr boge on my next order i guess getting the prepunched would eliminate the problem with punching the right size hole.
I just like the look off a cartomizer tank. So i will keep trying.
How about the ikanvape cartomizers i also read a lot off good things about those.
The only bad thing would be they are out of stock.

Welcome Jan the Man! Look at you all ready to make the leap to RBA's after only 5 weeks!

I noticed you didn't say why you didn't like the MT3 or Vivi, can you elaborate on those devices? I personally find the MT3 one of the easiest set ups I have and the vapor production and flavor on mine is great.

I only use Boge Single Coil Cardos in my DCT tanks, I'm vaping these right now and they are the same in vapor production but the flavor in the cardo is slightly more airy.

I wish I could show you a video of the vapor production I'm getting off the MT3, so funny, I have been using mine all night at work.....

I do agree. I love my Kanger clearos too. My Vision ViVi mini is better than the big one, also, for some reason, but I prefer Kangers--they just need a bit more wattage because the heating coil is far from my lips and the vapor feels cooler. I actually prefer the baby T3s. I think they are my favorite right now. I also like the T2--the one with top coil.

Jan, I have tried every carto made by IKV--they are very similar, if not identical, to Boge cartos. I believe they are made by Bogetech, judging by their looks, but carry IKV logo on them. ;) It's a common practice--if you order enough cartos or batteries or what have you, you can request that your logo be put on them.

Hi sure i can elaborate.

The kanger mt3 i got had a lot of gurgling and that didn't help the flavor. It could be i just had a bad one.

The vivi nova had a really tight draw and that was the issue for me.

The boge xl sr i am using in a agr lock tank and i have found it hard too get the hole the right size.
But i got it working i fill with the condom method but after a day i find the vapor production gets less.
Maybe i am putting it on a too high voltage i don't know still learning on that one.

I also got the protank as off yesterday and it is great. Great vapor great taste. But i would like too my long driptip and that's not possible.

I also got the igo-l wich is also good but dripping isn't for a all day vape atleast for me. At home it's great.

Oh i use 70/30 juice in 18mg.

I have too say it is fun trying everything and every system has it's own advantages.
I think it's also fun making your own coils.

I guess i would try a aga-t next and the boge lr (they where out of stock at my vendors last order)

There are a few things you need to remember when using a T3 or an eVod or a ProTank:

1) Make sure that the atomizer coil is screwed into the base tightly--they often come not fully tightened from the manufacturer, or may have gotten loose through repeated refills.

2) Look at all the inner seals and gaskets to make sure they haven't become dislodged.

3) Make sure that you screw the tank into the base tightly. If it's not tight, it may leak.

4) When you screw your eVod into your battery, do not overtighten--screw it in only until it makes contact--no farther, or you may push the center post in too deep and cause all kinds of problems, including leaking. When the draw becomes tight or the taste and vapor production begin to diminish, replace the coil. This will happen sooner (even as soon as one day of heavy use) if you're using dark, viscous, or very sweet juices. The old coil can be cleaned and dry burned.

and

5) Make sure you're not getting juice in the center tube when you're filling--this will cause your eVod to leak like a sieve. If some juice gets into the tube, close the top cap and blow gently through the clearomizer to get rid of any excess eliquid.

Good luck!

Thank you again for all information. I forgot too say my wife started vaping toghether with me.
And she loves the mt3 since day one.
It's really nice that a lot off vaping experts are nice enough too help.
