My husband and I have spent a bit of money on it, but that's because we have turned it into a hobby.
Trust me when I tell you... as a well known obsessive compulsive, I'll be heading down the same road, so $500 is entirely doable. ;)

After a conversation with Tim Krause at Northwest Vapors, I've settled on getting two of these KGO Riva pass-through kits (with the CE4 cartos), which I think are a pretty good deal, plus an assortment of clearos, cartos and tanks... and (in a few weeks) a couple of these EGO-V pass-throughs. Also looking at a mini-tank from Valley View or similar from Mom and Pop.

Anyone have experience with this Carto tank filler adapter... worth buying?

Back to research! Thanks all for your posts... I learn something with every one. :thumb:

If you plan to use carto tanks the "filler adaptor" is essential! It makes changing cartos and refilling (if there's no refill screw) super easy.

Vendors often call it different things: "Tank tool" "Carto tool" and similar type names. It's also known as a "SYM," since the original was called a "Slap Yo' Mama" from Big Daddy Vapor. There are tools available from some vendors that are also drip tips.

Well... I have a follow-up. After (much) more research, I went in an entirely different direction than the KGO Riva and EGO V pass-through "initial test plan" I had originally envisioned. From iVape, I ordered a few Innokin iTaste VV 3.0s ($35 when you add in the coupon code "itastevv"), some T3-S cartos and ProTanks, and an assortment of iVape made tobacco'ish juices.

As much as I thought that keeping it simple might be a good idea, I saw no reason why we shouldn't jump right to an intermediate vv mod.

Again, I'd like to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and suggestions.

Cheers,
C
