From the manual...

On/Off (Atomizer) – Turning the atomizer on/off is done by holding all three buttons down at the same time for 3 seconds. Every time you hold these three buttons, the device will toggle back and forth between ON and OFF. You can also hold down all three buttons to continuously cycle between On/Off. In the event you will be storing the device in a pocket or purse and you do not want the fire button to accidentally get pressed, you can set this to OFF. The atomizer will not fire until you turn this back on or you remove the battery and reinstall, which will reset this back to ON.
May be true, however my 2.5 only has 1 button.
So what do you 2.5 guys and gals do?
Just deal with it? Remove the battery every time you put it back in your pocket? Scroll through the menu and wait the 2 sec, switch to off and wait another 2 second before dropping in your pocket?

I've only ever turned my first ProVari off once- just to see how it's done and I pocket carry them all the time...

Well since all I use is a dripping atty I guess I'll never be satisfied with this device.

I've used it for just under a week now and my biggest grip is turning it off and on to quickly pocket it....you cannot quickly do that.

Is there a shortcut perhaps?
9 clicks, waiting 2 sec, 1 click, then two more sec is hardly practical for the working mans vape experience.

That old lavatube I spoke of was 5 clicks on, 5 clicks off. Quick, simple, still working after all these years for my wife.

Why turn it off? At work, I carry my 2.5 in a pants pocket along with two sets of keys and other things. I never turn it off and don't have it firing in my pocket (that I notice). I need to be able to quickly pull it out for a vape with fiddling with buttons. I do use a leather sleeve, so that might help.

Ok, so this button never gets pressed in your pants pocket while moving around and bending and squatting?
It just seemed likely, so I haven't chanced it.

I also have never turned off any of my provari's, carry them in my pants pocket at work, never had a problem. :)

Working man here. Commercial flooring, so bent over yes. Never a problem with firing in pocket. I will also put it in my pouch, with knives and other tools. I have had it fire there, if the button presses against the knives.I have never turned it off.
The finish, on the other hand, will not hold up. My black provari looks more like a satin now, its only black in the recessed areas now.

Thanks for all the input. Got it, so y'all just let it rip!
Not my ideal vape situation, but hey I'm learning.
I think the provari for me so far has been more of you adjust to it, as opposed to me adjusting my bottom feeding mechs to what I like.
I'm a tinkerer and modder, so if I can't set it up the way I want to use it, its useless to me.

I'm not giving up yet, just checking boxes as I go and getting feedback from those that use them daily so I can learn from others.

So far I'm not feeling like I missed out on much all these years, but that's just been my experience thus far. However I can see why it's such a polarizing device.

If you are a tinkerer...then you may need to "adjust" your habits when using the ProVari. I did. I did bottom feeders quite religiously for a long while - buying all sorts of rdas and playing with different coils - until it was not fun any more. Constantly feeling unsatisfied and hating all the work and money I was putting into just not wanting to smoke cigarettes. I literally went back to square one.

Bought egos, protanks and such...then caught a huge deal on a ProVari mini. Right after there was like a fire sale on kfv4 clones. Grabbed a handful more provaris and haven't looked back.

Now, I'm waiting on my next tank. Guess I want/need simple. My life is complicated enough.

I also started DIY and have found more enjoyment in that then I ever did rebuilding an atty.

To each his/her own.

Wrong manual.

No reason to turn it off, so don't.

This is exactly what I use for dripping attys.

Cisco spec 306 1.5ohm dripping attys to be exact set between 3.8 and 4.2 volts, exactly what you'd get with a mech without the battery drop off.

4.2 is kinda hot, so more usually 4.0V.

I can't imagine what problems you could be having with dripping attys on that thing.

I love my diy adv!
I haven't had to buy store liquid in a couple years! It is so simple a caveman can do it. I purchase premixed base at NN so I don't even hassle with messing with the nic.
I have 100% VG no nic and vape that regularly also.
Even when I do try store liquid, i end up comparing it to....mine always satisfies me :)

No fidgeting required on my current mods once they are dialed in. I use ceramic wicks and MM single coils, one build usually lasts 9-10 months, no maintenance.
Do any of you guys use the readyXwick?

But this isn't the point, I already have a satisfying current setup, just getting to know the provape side of the things and the neewb feeling has been fun.
I'm sure there are habits I have that y'all would say "you really do that??"

All good stuff
