FNG here.

Been smoking since I was 17. And getting married would like to quit. Patches and gum don't work. I got a blu disposable and a jasper and jasper a week ago. The blu seems better than jnj so I got another disposable blu and they seem to do the trick. Then just today I picked up a kit. NO the disposable hasn't lasted a week . I've been testing the waters, haven't totally quit yet. That's my goal though.

Not too sure about the pack from the kit though. I've read some bad reviews here. I'm worried about it breaking on me. The Blink from safe cig looks sturdier.. would that work with the blu's batteries?

Welcome to ECF and congratulations on taking the plunge!

While the blu isn't the best thing out there, it does work. I quit using Blu, but I went for their Premium 100's which has a better charging case and longer life batteries. While Blu says that you cannot refil their cartomizers, they can be filled so get some good juice and enjoy!

Something cheap to start testing is the eGo Twist ($30), buy a couple, don't forget the eGo charger ($9). The good thing about the eGo Twist is that is a highly compatible battery (501, 306 and eGo connections) and is Variable Voltage from 3.2V-4.8V.

Also buy a pack of 5 LR 510 Boge cartomizers ($8 to $9 a pack of 5), 5 510 LR Smoktech dual coil cartomizers($8 to $9 pack of 5), at least 2 LR 510 atomizers ($8 each), 2 o 3 Drip Tips ($3 each).

Now to the juices, buy at from 5 to 8 10ml bottles of different type of flavors, preferably US made for example from Halo, Altsmoke High Caliber, BackWoods Brew, Highbrow Vapor, buy them from fruity flavors, tabacco to dessert flavors @12mg-18mg nicotine level, that is how you find out what type of flavors you might like to vape and if you need more nicotine mg's.

Total investment ~ $145

Thats what i have learn these past 3 weeks i've been vaping, and it has been a struggle specially with the juices, in fact all i have now is Tobacco flavors (RY4, MLB and American 55) and i hate them, good thing tomorrow i get like 8 30ml bottles from Highbrow of dessert flavors that are apparently what i like.

Just don't give up and don't be ashamed to have a stinky if you really really want it. You'll find out how bad the really taste after a week or so.

*****************************
Now after the testing period is done you may need to buy a proper PV, let's say a Silver Bullet, a Pearl Pass Through and finally the best of the best a Provari or a Darwin.

I've learn a lot from youtube's PBusardo and GrimmGreen.

I too, started with the blu. They sucked me in with their disposable, which was kit and satisfied me. Then I bought a kit, and it was horrible. The battery didn't last and the cartos burnt. I suggest you return the blu while you are within the 30 day return period. You will end up being disappointed with it.

If you want a cigarette sized ecig, check out the smokeless image volt. It is the most recommended "mini" on here. Their battery lasts from 2-4 hours, the cartos rarely burn the filler and last a long time and can be refilled several times. The volt is also about 20% less than the blu. They have several starter kits and the cartos are only $9 before coupons. There is also a coupon code for 15% off. To top it off, their customer service is second to none. Shipping is also super fast. Every order I have placed with them has been at my door within 2-3 days. They even have a promo for a free battery, bottle of juice or pack of cartos if you post a picture on their forum here. I made a video about the volt and my experience with ecigs. It demonstrates the volt and also talks about what you need to be successful no matter what kit you choose. It also shows the x2, which is the same as the kgo, so you can get an idea of the difference..

If you want something bigger, go with a kgo.
