Hey y'all. I'm pretty new to this whole scene, and I'm probably a little different from most of you. See, I've never really been hooked on analogs as they seem to be known around here. In fact, I've only ever been an occasional tobacco user. I smoke a couple of cigars a year and have a decent little hookah set up that gets a workout maybe a couple times a month.

I wound up here because a little vape kiosk opened in the mall I go to from time to time. I haven't really gone over, but the ones that looked like self-contained hookah hose heads intrigued me, so I started doing a little research. I set my budget around $100 and last night (slightly tipsy, perhaps) I ordered an taste SVD and a small selection of juices, and I'm just waiting for it to arrive.

So, maybe I'll get really into this, maybe I won't. We'll see, I suppose.

Nice to meet you. From what you say, I'd suggest 0% nicotine, but you probably don't wish to give yourself an adiction you don't have already anyway

That's what I got, mostly. Plus a couple of the lowest nicotine levels, because sometimes the nicotine is nice.

Why take the risk of getting hooked on nicotine ? You know that you can get there and fast why the risk ?

As I said, I've used it occasionally from time to time -- the occasional cigar & hookah. I figure a little nicotine through the vape from time to time won't be a big deal, and I may ditch it entirely if I find myself craving it more than I think is healthy. I did that about 10 years ago in the navy when I started worrying I was getting hooked on cigarettes. Thanks so much for your concern though!

I did indeed. It was probably a slightly tipsy impulse purchase of something I'd been wanting for a little while rather than a considered decision. The guy who does the videos at MadVapes is a damn good soft-sell salesman.

Welcome Sig! I'm certain you're not alone here. eCig's would be a wonderful way to enjoy the rare encounter. I'm sure I don't have to tell you this, but just be careful...if you try them out, the flavors and experience can be quite pleasant and I'd hate to see things change for you. Most of us who are addicted to nicotine wish we could just flirt with the stuff...but sadly, it's not like that. The 0mg juices, as mentioned, would be a relatively safe way to experiment without any risks! Welcome to ECF!

Thanks rev! As I said, most of what I got was 0-nicotine, and what did have nicotine was the lowest level available. I'm hoping that this will kill my hookah usage, which is a royal pain in the .... between set-up, lighting coals, tear-down, and cleaning, so I do want a little nicotine from time to time. My plan is, sitting at my desk, I'll have it loaded with the 0-nic stuff, and when I would normally sit down and enjoy a hookah, I'll put the very-low-nicotine juice in. I might still have my occasional cigar, but as that's a 4-times-per-year occurrence, it's a virtual non-factor for me.

I always advise to find a coupon to reduce the cost. The coupon button is on top of the forum page or you can always Google the vendor name and put coupon behind it.
