So ive been wanting to get a TC mod but dont want to spend a lot because I know that in the future there will be better mods at better prices.

So Ive been looking at the invader mini 50w v2 (the one that doesnt have the problems) as a budget mod (I can get it authentic for $40 from a friend)

Should I buy it or wait for the new TC mods that will be out there I guess soon.

I would say no. There's a reason these are so cheap, and that's because they are horrible devices.

My version 2 still has the problems the first version did. Pops in and out of TC mode, sometimes fires, sometimes doesn't and eats batteries like nobody's business.

There will always be something new and better, right around the corner. If you wait for that to arrive, there will be something else to wait for by then. If you then wait for that one, there will be something else on the horizon by the time it arrives. I say if it meets your needs right now, and you can afford it right now, then go ahead and buy it, right now. If you're always waiting for the "next best thing" then you will always be waiting, and you'll never buy anything. That's why I bought my VS rDNA40 device as soon as I could afford it, rather than waiting around for whatever might come out after it.

I hate mine.. Always shuts off even with a fully charged battery, forgets it's settings. If I like vape at 25w I have to set it to 30 to get the same experience. Goes through my battery twice as fast I as my ipv mini v2. I emailed my freedom smokes and they said they would send me a new one as a replacement, however I'm going to turn around and sell that sucker on eBay.

Did they fix the base so you can stand them upright w/out them falling?
Yes.
The top is still janky though. If you "adjust it" to fit your atty, then when you go to take your atty off, the top comes off too.

I guess if you wanted to spin that you could claim that it's supposed to do that and that it is an added atty building base, but I wouldn't do that to ya.

built in atty base, I like that hehe :D
That was the first thing I thought of when I went to take my Subtank Mini off to fill it and found then seized together, looks like one of those threaded cheap atty bases, only it is chromed mystery metal instead of stainless or anodized aluminium.

Agreed, the base is cheap however I'm not too cut up on how it works. I just wanted a rugged mod for work but it doesn't do what it supposed to so for me it's garbage
