So as long as I'm 1.0 ohm or above not much danger? at present I'm not interested in sub-ohm (probably in the future). The REO does look awesome, especially if it can be cleaned and juice flavors swapped out (unsure as so many people talk about only using one liquid per REO)

The reason why we talk about dedicating one juice to a REO is the vape experience from the REO and our juice of choice. In my case, Moneypenny (my copper vein REO), gets Wakonda and the RM2. That just hit for me. I haven't had what I could call an ADV before, but Wakonda on the REO did it. Sure, I have other devices with different flavors of Clark's wonder liquids that I vape on during the day, but the Wakonda on the REO is what I always come back to.

When I started vaping I was saying why would someone want to sub-ohm? Then I experienced it. Whole new ballgame. All new REOs come with the sub-ohm kit, a stronger switch and spring. I'm running a parallel coil @ 0.5 ohms in the RM2 and a 0.7 ohm dual coil in the RM3.

Once you have your Ohm's Law down pat and know what your batteries can handle you won't have problems. hmm REO huh...ok I'm gonna look more into this. These things looked huge to me at first but I've since heard that a REO Grand is the size of a deck of cards. so, pretty portable eh? pocket-able? or stay-at-home device for some reason?

actually can anyone point me to a thread that covers stuff someone should know when looking to buy a REO? it seems a complicated and intimidating world

The reo grand is the size of a business card not a deck of cards. I have a mvp as well. It's shorter than the mvp2.

The Wakonda Tribe! I'm a member!!!

BTW the REO is slightly smaller than your MVP!

Hands down, that's it - Tribe goes with the name. Can we start this, right now??

Thanks so much for all the info guys...sounds like REOs bump up the flavor and convenience of vaping like no other.

I bought a 500ml bottle. I was going back and forth between 6mg and 12mg, so I went with 6. But my goal IS to wean myself off nicotine. I know people say "but it's not what's bad for you in cigs" (which is a shortcut. It's not what's worst for you in cigs would be more accurate) - to which I respond "ok, what good is it doing to you ?" (unless you have a specific condition for which nicotine is recognized as helping, it won't ever be bad for you to lower your nic intake. And it DOES have side effects, and these can be either "good" or "bad" depending on the circumstances).

Also, going from 18 to 12 is relatively easy (at least for me it was) and the taste of the juice is so much better. But that's not your question :) either.

If you think that much juice would last you so long, go for one level down. In your case, 12mg. You don't know where you'll be in a few weeks / months, and while you can always vape something lighter, you can't vape stronger (believe me, now my 18mg juices are just unvapable, and I've been vaping for a mere month and a half). That's especially true if you upgrade your gear. I went from 12 to 6 when I got my kayfun and my trusty 12mg juice tried to kill me on the first puff. And if I can still vape 12mg in the Kayfun when I feel like it, I can't in the Reo.

But if money's really tight.... buy a bit less, maybe 100 or 150ml. Save so you can buy a big one later (added benefit : you'll have more time to be absolutely sure you still love it).

I do believe Wakonda is set to stay. If not, pretty sure Clark will warn us in advance so we can buy kegs.

Sage advice my friend, thank you. I want to mention to that in no way do I deny that nic is bad for me nor mean that I'll never try to purposefully ween down in the future; just that its not on my current agenda per se, my current agenda is set to staying off cigs (I'll achieve total confidence after a couple of months I think) and discovering this magical new world of vaping (and also having lifetime access to Wakonda--hehe)

but I think the cult has persuaded me to not spend any more money at this moment. my focus has shifted to REO research x.x a peace has come over me, I think Wakonda is probably here to stay. Not only do so many of us rave about it, it's also a different market than a lot of his juices, which could be beneficial to his company.

My immediate dilemma has become this--what to try next (out of what I've got here in front of me)--naner puddin or cherry rose!

Don't tell anyone but I sometimes have an empty bottle in the Reo and just drip from above. Sometimes I have Frenilla inside and drip other NT for some tasty mixes on the fly. Oh, and sometimes at Band Camp, I just fill the bottle, squonk, and vape like a good little Reo tooter.

ADD: I've had the same 1.3 ohm coil in my Reo for over a month. I just rewick when I'm in the mood. :)

I've had my Reo less than a week and I am in love. Everything just tastes better. My coils aren't pretty but they work beautifully. I made the mistake of purchasing a mech mod first for the purpose of coil building practice and haven't touched it since Xena came home. I'm using a 6 mg juice in her (sometimes a 9 if I'm mixing) and it is just lovely. I am still using a 12 in my nautilus though. The flavors are so lovely however it really doesn't matter to me what the nic level is as long as it's 12 or lower. I have however started purchasing some NZ to cut down my 12. A Reo is cheaper than a 500 ml bottle and worth every penny!!

So I'm seriously toying with the idea of ordering 500ml of Wakonda.

I doubt I'd want as low as 6, so it's really between 12 and 18. So...for you long term vapers, have any advice?

Just a thought but, Clark and Katy are two of the nicest and most accommodating vendors one could ask for within reason. Maybe if you would very nicely approach them through their site and offer a few extra bucks to cover the cost of the bottles, they would probaly be more than happy to break up your 500 mls of Wakonda into 50's of 6,12,and 18 mg ( if available) juice for you. That way you would have the best of all three worlds.

I am not speaking for C&K but I do believe it is at least worth a shot.

On another note 6 or 12mg goes down mighty fine in a Reo! :p

Good. Going down too fast is a mistake. If you feel good at 18mg, stay at 18mg. But believe me, don't buy 6 months worth of juice in 18mg. Waiting is probably a good idea.

Now... Reo.... careful, danger lies ahead :)

with all parts included it's probably about the same price right? Reo Grand LP, RM LP, batteries, charger, what else...(already got 28ga kanthal a-1 and cotton etc)

Are you already thinking of buying two of them at once ?! You should get one, get used to it and see how you like it. You can always buy another one next month. Besides, buying two at the same time just robs you of the pleasure of buying another one lol.

To start you need :

- A reo of your choice
- A RBA - The reomizer 2 is really good.
- Two batteries
- A charger
- A battery storage box

Optional but nice to have :

- Spare O-rings for the reomizer (very strongly recommended - they have an incredible tendency to just disappear)
- Spare bottles-and-tube kits (a few of them, they multiply at an alarming rate)

And all the stuff you need to build coils that you probably already have.

Not thinking of 2 REOs, I meant just one but with the LP Reomizer, batteries, charger, repair kit for sure...

looks like it would be right around $250 to me but I haven't price checked the latter 3 items yet

Once you get your hands on the first one, I can pretty much guarantee you'll be thinking about a second one. In my case it only took me a couple of days before Reo#2 was on the way. Then the next thing I knew "Minnie" the Reo moved right in and now I have three. I now find myself holding out for a Woodvil but my knees are starting to feel just a wee bit weak. I could be in trouble again at any moment! :?:
