1. IVP2s looks like a fancy device. If I had 100 bux burning a hole in my pocket, it seems like the obvious choice for someone who wants to dial up the wattage on dual coils.

2. Vaporshark provides you with a very nice form factor for a daily carry. But it's expensive and might not provide enough snort/battery power to drive dual coils at higher wattages. It depends on your builds and what you're doing with the device on a daily basis. My guess is that if you're cranking at 20+ watts, that battery is not going to last very long.

3. As others have said, if you don't need something immediately, you might want to sit out a bit before dropping major cash when newer options are arriving. You could pick up a cheapie like a hana clone or istick to get you to the xmas sales.

I have IPV2S and rDNA both great and I have no problem at all. But to be honest, I just use my rDNA for public vaping only since it has better look (if you know what i meant). I use my IPV2S for daily vaping, I called it "heavy duty device" since I work on agricultural trading, so i do alot of agricultural inspections, rough hand, dirty hand, i dropped it twice but it still works nice :)
At my office, I can just swap my kayfun on it with my darkhorse rda, relaxing a bit. 60W is more than enough imo. I never go more than 20W actually lol

Wait for the reviews. It's an expensive APV. Just sayin'.

That's exactly what I'm doing with the VS rDNA 40. I know it's almost the same as the rDNA but once I see a review or 2, that'll make up my mind but I'm pretty sure I'll have one in a few weeks. I don't see any other device that I has the features I want. Compact, user replaceable battery, usb charging and Evolv chip.

The VS rDNA 40 is definitely more than I wanted to spend but the more I look at devices, the more I can't find what I want and the VS come so close, it's almost perfect for me. I typically vape at under 10w most of the time so a DNA 20 would've been fine but I want the temp protection and power step down. The Istick is really great for everyday use and the price is just silly for what you get. I researched a whole day before I ordered one :D.

honestly I don't think you really need to worry about temperature when you are using under 10 watts. I think the concerns involving heat degrading e-juice is more on the higher wattages. in my opinion if you can find a empty box(like something like a empty cana box or something) you can just buy the parts and DNA40 chip and make it yourself. is going to be alot cheaper than getting a VS or hana

I hear you. I've given all my 1st gen vv/vw devices away and have been hitting the mechs for some time. I'm really wanting to get one of those $50 fasttech hana mini clones for an afforable, small form factor vv-vw device. The problem is that 1 of 10 seems to be a disaster and then 2 of 9 seems to be a quirky mess. I'm not sure I want to play that particular lottery.

I wouldn't balk at dropping a pile of money on the VS dna40 except that I know that, given my daily schedule, I'd be dropping it or losing it.

I wish I were skilled enough to do this because this would be exactly what I want. Should have taken votech electronics in high school!

It's well said here :)
Just a little add on advice from a newbie like me, who played on both VV/VW and mecha:
- Big Watt is not everything, unless you want to build a coil for electric matches for your analog cigar (if you know what i mean: use your coil just to burn your cigar lol). 30W, 50W or 60W is more than enough for your VV/VW arsenal :) Wanna play on RDA, it's still more than enough... Just don't buy a device with only 15W imo, unless you want it for collection (Innokin iTaste VTR for example).
- Consider about budgets, big wattage vv/vw mostly are expensive. Use budget for you tank/clearos :)

The main reason for wanting temp control is that I sometimes get burnt or singed cotton, even at the wattage I use. I thought about building one but I really like the form factor of the VS rDNA and was actually going to buy one when I stumbled upon the Istick and DNA 40 chip that was announced. Other options were to buy a Hana modz mini clone and use that until I got a DNA 40 and mod the box to accept an 18650 battery. After using the Istick for a couple of weeks now, I realize I like this size over the Hana clone.

It's not that hard to do. There's kits to make mods and you can pick and choose the 510 connector you want, buttons, box, etc. You'd definitely save a few bucks. The most skill needed is soldering the board but you can watch some youtube videos. I would recommend a 40w solder for this job. My issue is the boxes aren't the size I want so even thought the VS is more than I wanted to spend, I think it's worth it.

All these opinions have helped me a lot. Ya I'm at 11w and it's not enough, on my kayfun id like at least 15 w and I need something capable to run a low ohm build with Dili coils, hard for me to get a dual coil build rite on my MVP with it needing over 1 ohm. Played with both devices today , the ipv 2s didn't feel as bad as the 2s when I held it but the vs felt very solid....wish I knew of a retailer in Georgia that sold them though.
