Output, I can run this SSV Ti build dry on a Dna40 @25w 350deg a couple good pulls and I have to let the build catch up. I have it set @50J 400deg and the output is nowhere close. But this could be me as I have no experience with this chip.
tank is a SquapeR

Ooh thanks that tank looks nice! I didn't think about it but I am wondering if the Ti mode is off somehow like the sx350j I read here that some people prefer to run Ti in the Ni mode vs Ti mode..

@Riblet & @MegaVap : Take a peek at the chart posted here Titanium wire, vaping and safety | Page 105 | E-Cigarette Forum.

Your setting of 350F in Ni mode is closer to 440F in Ti mode. 40F is a pretty noticeable difference in targets, so I wouldn't rule out Ti mode just yet. You will need to find the target that makes you happy.

Exactly. Running a Ti coil on a device which only measures Ni200 resistance will run the coil much hotter than indicated. Now that you run in Ti mode you're running at actual 350 (which is not nearly as hot as you've been running it). Put it back in Ti and bump up the temp considerably.

Thanks that helps a lot, back in Ti mode.
The device feels a lot nicer then the price would lead you to think, it has a very solid feel and the buttons are nice and clicky. And no kind of rattle, I'm very impressed this is a solid little mod.

First off, you asked about the deck, everything I said there was true about it. And yes the "chimney"(although the top section and shaft may also be called chimney so i reffer to the liquid feed portion as a barrel/sleeve because it looks like one) has the liquid feed holes now rather than the base, and as for the air flow....I think the center screw is the same size but not 100% sure.
You tell me if you see any difference

You keep saying deck, do you mean rba section? As a whole?
In that order: chimney, barrel (sleeve) and the deck

Sorry I meant rba section as a
Whole. More specifically the barrel. My v1 barrel has very small juice holes and that one has big ones. Should I just try drilling my own or order a v2? That my was original intended question.

I had a V1 and didn't like it at all, the V2 I have now and use daily is much better, both in wicking and AFC...28 bucks on sale at Wake & Vape, looks pretty good on the D2.

Order a V2 section. You will be glad you did.

I guess the answer to your question at this stage would be...what are you looking to achieve?

I'll tell you what I did and you go from there. I notched the barrel(right where it sits on the liquid channels) so it exposed the liquid channels higher on the deck, (no dry his whatsoever chain vaping). Like this:

also took the center pin out of the deck and dremmeled the 4 little holes into two connecting slots to improve air, like this:
8cac9abf8887c0e978e72373dbb37b6b.jpg
. Also build vertical coils to add a little more air through rather than around the coil.
I'd say 100% improvement on liquid feed, and at least 30% more air.

I will also recommend this, even even if you feel like tinkering with the original, at least you won't be affraid to mess it up.
Fasttech has a clone(at least no mention of authentic) $2.97 Replacement Rebuildable RBA Plus Coil Head for SUBTANK Mini Clearomizer - 0.5ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
and an authentic $6.73 Authentic KangerTech SUBTANK Mini RBA Plus Coil Head - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Is the V2 RBA substantially more airflow than the V1?

My issue is that I'm currently very happy with how the V1 is working with enlarged juice slots and notched barrel with absolutely no dry hits at 42W, may go higher but haven't tried yet, but I would like a bit more airflow.

I did like what Ec!g does by dremelling the 4 holes to become 2 slots but would like more airflow still.

Is it worth getting a V2/V3 STM?

Anyway, just got the IPV D2 yesterday from a local B&M, it's so much smaller than in pics, but quite weighty.
Quality seems much higher than the price would suggest. Chucks in a VTC4 and charges via the supplied cable at 0.8A.

Very happy with it. :)

Ok so what gives? Ups still hasn't updated my tracking. It still says they are processing it two days letter. Also on an unrelated I'm thinking about getting 28g nickel for tc mode and kanthal for wattage mode. I thought about getting 24g kanthal but heard it takes a while to hear up and cool down. And then thought about ribbon or even twisted ribbon. Sorry to derail this thread but can anyone weigh in on these different wires for me.

I'm in the same boat with tracking. I'm guessing UPS just isn't updating. I like 28g ni200 for single coils. 30g ni200 is what I use for dual coils. With kanthal it really depends on what kind of build you're aiming for.

Well, I'm done on the IPV-D2 Trail........

GearBest Stalling customers and I found out why. Not their fault, but covering up doesn't get it. They processed pre-order payments as if product had arrived.
P4Y Refused delivery of the D2 to any China suppliers due to not being able to meet demand.
Ummmm.....whatever happened to being in the Quiche?

Refund Requested and not sure I wish to do business with P4Y.

...........
That attitude didn't last long.

decided to through my support to a US Vendor. Wake & Vape got my vote for Best Deal with extras. This puts the Mod conservatively at $50 and in my hands in a few days.

GearBest practices :nah:
P4Y Practices :nah:
IPV-D2

What can I say, I always know what I want and don't like substitutions.:D
