I ordered a D2 today looking forward to getting it. I will be running a subtank mini with the .5 vertical coil not the nickel never had a need for temp sensor ones until now lol. Now to figure out the best setup for it but that's half the fun
I tried my Subtank Mini with that same .5 verticle coil but found airflow was too tight for me, even with the airslots wide open..I just got the D2 today and have tried the Herkakes, Atlantis, Maganus and Starre..so far I'm really liking the Starre as my favorite with the .2 ohm coil at 58w with all 4 airslots wide open...

I totally agree. I've got some Vaporshark Ni200 coils on order from Refuel Vapor in California for $20.24, including priority UPS shipping. For now I'm playing with using the OBS tank. That has been hard to get running in a consistent way so far for mouth to lung hits, or even lung hits. I keep having to take the tank off, take it apart, wipe off any possible excess juice (if any), put it back together, then put it on again and re-lock the ohm reading. Then it seems to run fine for awhile, then it doesn't. Ramping joules and max temp up a bit helps, but only temporarily, then I get very little vapor again. Once the on screen display is showing 0.50 ohms is about when vapor really drops off. Weird and frustrating.
I started with the VS Ni Coils (For the Nautilus) and it was not good. Not that the coils were bad, it was just very weak IMO. I have had better success with the SMOK TCT and Starre Pro using Nickel - just more oomph, flavor, etc.

Which tank did you get? Post a photo once it's setup. I like the look of my black subtank with black o-ring gaskets on the black D2, mean looking! :)

Got the KS RTA. I was surprised at the Air flow. Reviews had me a little worried, but for my Lungs and TC it will work just fine.

A Few pic from another Member a few post back, but his is Silver.

Back to the subject earlier. Has anyone found a way to dry burn nickel coils or should we just change them out once they gunk up. I heard things gunk up slower on tc coils?

Compared to Heads, wire is cheap. I'd just change any really gunked up. I would likely break the tank down and run things under Hot water to see how everything looks, then make the determination.

The airflow is good? I can hang with 2.5-3.0mm on a single coil tank. Once you get a coil in there its a good restrictive lung hit which is what I like. I am interested in the Hurricane 1.2 Rta by E Phoenix. But holy .... balls its expensive. Or the ubertoot, fasttech has the toot for 35 bucks and it looks really good.

A different subject ive noticed if I am mindful of how the board is reacting to the coil installed I can adjust the temp to where its rattlesnakeing really smooth. If I can do that my battery life does not suck. If I go above that you can see the battery monitor going crazy and it sucks your battery down in nothing flat. For example a .078 set at 415 degrees 35j is much more efficient than just going up to 420. If I run it at 420 its horrible battery life.

Anyone notice this

I haven't done the build yet. However Draw on this type of Tank can change with coil height and wick density. I've played around with a few other bottom flow builds(Magma for one) and can tell the difference in coil setups.
No doubt it will tighten up a little with everything in place.

Rattle Snaking is the Board going nutz trying to keep the Temp under control while fighting a To High Joules setting.
Next time you start to get Rattle Snaking bump the Joules down or the Temp up and it should instantly calm down.
Some say the SX will do the same thing, but running 400F/30J never shows signs for me.

I also got my black KS RTA today. First off, this thing looks amazing. It's like it's made for the D2. It's significantly shorter than most RTAs, yet holds a lot of juice. As for performance, I actually didn't have high expectations because I am very set in my ways, but I must say I am very impressed. I wrapped a Ti coil on Rayon and it's pretty close to a perfect vape for me. I can't comment on airflow since I am strictly MTLer but fully open it seemed airy enough for decent DL hits.

By the way, mine came squeaky clean. I used it straight out of the box and it tastes pristine.

Assuming that's the Crown on top -- how is the performance with the D2 and the Crown? Are you using SS or Ni coils?

It is the Crown and performance is great. I like the .5 coil @ 50-60w. I haven't even tried the Ni coils in the Crown. Been so disappointed with Ni in other tanks, I have kind of given up on it.

I am sure I will be fine I go for more flavor than vapor. Sometimes I like the smallest air setting for max taste. Not sure if the nickel vertical coils are all that much better than the regular vertical ones. That will be for another day ;)

Mine looks that way also...............but I tried that once with another tank and got fooled, ruined a full tank of RY4:(
Now I cannot get myself to trust anything New until at least a quick pass through the UC.

Why are you guys running tc coils on a mini nautilus? It just doesn't sound like it would work. I would imagine you could only run them in sub ohm tanks with good success/

Right behind you...
Lipstick on a pig, TC coils in a Nautilus. If you're not happy with the vape of a two-year-old design, spend the price of a pack of pre-built TC coils or thereabouts and get a better atomizer. But TC isn't going to turn a frog into a prince.

If you ARE happy with the cocktail straw vape (which is fine, no hate here), there's still better clearomizer choices out there these days, and very affordable MTL-centric rebuildables (clone or otherwise) which can far exceed the quality of vape of a Nautilus.

Yes, a cocktail straw vape can be more than sufficient for me, especially after smoking for more than 28 years. I suspect most vapers are the same way - though not as limited as I am by a PG allergy. Which high VG capable clearomizers would you consider better than a Nautilus (or Beyond Vape Silo Tank) these days, especially with TC compatible coils? Though I never have much time for rebuilding, which MTL-centric rebuildable tanks would you recommend?
