Ipv d2 question

So I just got my ipv d2 today,I'm using a goblin mini dual coil kanthal at .48. In power mode not tc. I usually vape at 20 watts, but this thing is hitting really hard. At 12 watts it feels like 20 watts.Am I missing something? Any advice is welcome. Thanks

ipv D2 doesn't do step down. so you're actually pushing 4.2 volts min on a freshly charged battery. try putting it in joules mode and set to desired joules, thats how im running mine and works just fine

Joules mode with kanthal is a work-around to address lack of step-down. For myself, I don't detect the D2 hitting harder than my other devices, though I'm usually running around 12 watts...

yes, there is step down in joules mode. you wont be able to take advantage of temp sensing with kanthal however. you're just in a sense tricking the device to do step down.

Set/lock Base resistance at room temperature
Use Joules as Watts - china does
Temp will NOT be controlled
This is simply a Step down work around that Does work.

Member tested and verified to work.
