Really not sure why anyone is being sent prototype/test versions to review in the first place. If stepdown is not working in the D3 final production models, that will definitely hurt them a bit.

I just got the final version of the D3 and can confirm it has step down and the right chip

The packaging is pretty nice on the device. My unit arrived flawless and without a sleeve So far my initial thoughts is this a gonna be a really solid little device if you don't need stainless. Much improved over the D2

I am dreaming of IPV D4 with all the future of SX350J board. Most important TCR adjustment. I think P4Y should insist from Yihi to make them such board. I would without doubt give for it 200$. I just like pocket devices with nano tanks.

I can confirm it will get atty rash but just about every black mod does period. So far outside paint is holding up fine with no sleeve. I have vaped a whole day at 50j on the new AW 3000 MAH batteries. So far I am liking these AW's better then my LG Chocolates. I am loving this little device thus far.

Lol, Atty Rash. Yeah any colored mod will get that, especially noticeable on black. They could probably do a 22mm SS ring to avoid it I guess but then again you only see it when you change toppers. I have had no issues with my black D2 and paint, but I use the silicone sleeve on it anyway. Hopefully they improved it a bit anyhow for people that don't like the sleeve. Battery door is much nicer than the D2 for sure.

I got mine for USD 40. Although it doesn't have SS TC mode like my VTC Mini does, I find that the D3 fires slightly smoother than the VTC. It's not day and night difference but its enough to make the D3 my current daily driver. Not to mention the feel in the hand is oh so comfortable.
