no mention of that in any spec that Ive seen. Just more W and step-down in VW..SS in temp mode and I'm in.... otherwise it's a no go for me.

it's a real shame theres no SS TC. maybe it'll be upgradeable?
Am I missing something here, what I'm seeing is a D2 with a little more power and slightly larger screen...where's the all in one part cuz I ain't seeing it.
I think some reports of the D3 were that it would be a side-by-side mod like the Kanger NeBox with the tank fitting down into the box, but according to ipv's site it is an upgraded version of the D2 with Voltage Stepdown in power mode, 5 more watts, a magnetic battery door, and looks like it can run higher joules in TC mode.
That's what I thought...might wanna look a little closer before posting nonsense.
Hmm. Well seeing as it was the only info available at the time, I posted it. If youre unhappy with that Im really not concerned.

The few places I've seen mention of the D3 do not mention whether it has a spring-loaded 510 pin???
I'll stick with my beat up D2. I beat it around like........ funny how now they offer step down. I guarantee it'll have a spring loaded 510. I hope no one buys it for the 80 watts, at 75 I can watch the battery meter go down after every puff. Great mod for 30 watts on a lemo drop or KS for work. Does temp nicely too.
I feel like IPV is kind of shooting itself in the foot not offering SS in TC. You'd figure they would try to compete directly against the VTC for the single 18650 TC slot, and with continuing to use the barrel connector there will be no support behind the chip, so its pretty much an unreleased mod thats already outdated.
Which is sad, because I love the form factor of the D2. Most comfortable mod Ive held, with a good bit of heft to it.
With the introduction of step down Ill buy one anyway. I like using a kfl with chris munn bell cap @ around 17w
These days i never buy anything just released , seems the overwhelming majority of mods drop to less than half price after a while .
Since most are just different designs but do the same things as every other mod i stay clear of the " new mod released , i must obtain immediately" mindset like i used to have when i started vaping .

This site gives Specs and says it's a different chip. ipv d3 or ipv d2 v2 will come in black, stainless steel, blue and white.
