So I have an ipv mini, and it's been nothing but a PITA for me because of the shotty wiring on the inside of the mod & sx130 chip. I've re-soldered the negative battery contact, grounding contact from the board, and te positive on the 510.
My question is - I've been wanting to build an sx350 mini/sx350j box for a while now. I know the sx350j won't fit side the ipv Mini's body, because of the onboard USB unless I make an opening for the micro USB, but would an sx350 mini chip fit into the body?
Either I can save myself some money for parts (510, box, battery sled..etc), by using the ipv mini or I could figure out something else to use and make a series box using one of the sx350 chips. Any input is appreciated.
