I broke down and got a mini II today, my 30W version just wasn't cutting it for anything other than my Kayfuns, the II is performing great though and the new battery cap looks a lot better than the old one IMHO.

I got a question for you guys with the black versions though. I really wanted the black but at my local shop I checked out 4 different black ones and they all had a really crooked 510 on them, where as the silvers were all perfectly straight. Kind of a bummer but the silver is growing on me, can anyone with a black one chime in with whether or not your 510 is straight? i found it kind of strange the issue was only on the black ones.

My silver mini 2 had a crooked 510 so I don't think it's just a black thing.

Black carbon fiber does look pretty good, if I say so myself...

Both very nice looking Minis. I have no issue with the 510 on my Mini II 70W, nor did I on my old mini 30W. I'm gonna have to get a wrap on my new one, I had a dark wood wrap on my old one. I did keep the mini 30W batt cap as I didn't like how slick and more difficult the new one is. It is actually much easier to screw on, imho.

I thought my gear acquisition had ended in February, but walked out of my B&M yesterday with not only the silver mini II, but a new Herakles sub tank to put on it. I must say the mini II and tank are both exceeding my expectations. I am going to have to check out that black carbon fiber skin.....that looks really nice!

Well I'm happy to say the Black paint does not rub off nearly as fast as on the 30w mini. Unfortunately it does easily flake/scrape off. Went to wipe off what looked like a wet spot on the curve side seam and my nail drug against it. Now have a 1/2" long silver line on the edge.
Lol same thing happened to me. Thankfully, I have a jwrap en route to cover it up.

I just got an IPV mini vII yesterday. I had been strictly provari (4 2.5s and a P3) until I decided to test 20W+ vaping with an iStick 50w. The iStick is a fantastic device, but when I had a chance to score one of these at an iStick 50w price I had to jump on it.

I'm extremely happy with the performance of this device! Vaping a subtank with an RBA .6ohm coil @ 22w the power delivery is smooth and predictable. The menu is easy to navigate and the presets are great for when I switch my subtank with an Erlk or switch juices.

There is a slight manufacturing defect. On the rounded edge on the side with the 'door' on it (the side with 2 screws) there are a few chips/burrs on the body of the mod right along the gap. Obviously someone was a little hasty putting it together, but for the price it doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the device. It's a solid performer!

A couple of quick questions. Does anyone have a rundown on the specs of the yihi chipset used in this device and the difference in features between it and the one used in the SX mini? Second question, had anyone used the USB charge function? Does it perform as well as charging it externally or is it a last resprt type option?

I don't know the difference between the cipset in the mini II 70W and the SX Mini.

I would get a good external charger and some spare batts... usb is for emergency charging for my batts!

That's alright...I found it. The SX mini is based on teh SX350 or new SX350C (w/temp control) yihi chipset. The IPV mini is based on the SX330V2C chipset.

I figured the USB charging would be more for trickle charging or toping off on the go. I've already got a few Nitecores for my provari IMRs.

I've had mine for over a week now and just today noticed that I have the dreaded "crooked 510" problem that a number of people have reported. I noticed my tank sits on the device crooked. It isn't extremely noticeable unless you look closely, but now it is driving me crazy. A guy on Reddit said he hammered his down (it is press fit apparently). I tried that but no luck. I don't want to hammer too hard. Maybe I need to put more force into it.

I've always heard Pioneer4You is hit or miss and their QC is lacking. I guess I was one of the unlucky ones. I am not furious about it because the device works well, but man little things like this drive me crazy.

Does anyone else have a slotted 510 connector? Mine is. And I'm not sure , but it seems to "catch" atomizers with slotted 510 pins. I'm getting a lot of brass shavings left over on the mod connector. It's not looking good for the longevity of my mod. Most of my attys have stainless 510s, and they are chewing up this brass slotted 510 with the super strong spring loaded connection.

I don't know of a good solution for this but am open to suggestions. I just got a Magma clone with a super long 510 pin that sits approx 3mm above the mod, and crooked. My other attys at least all can be screwed down flush.

I don't care much about aesthetics, but stainless slotted pin to this brass slotted mod connector has me concerned. They aren't mating up very well, and the brass material will lose out every time.
