The ipv Mini has landed. I've only been using it for about an hour but I like it so far. It is very comfortable in the hand and while I'm not a fan of square buttons, they have a nice feel. The 510 is very slightly canted but not enough for me to worry about. The finish is very nice but I wish it was actually black. There is a small dent or crease in the body shell above the fire button. Not a huge deal since this thing will likely lead a fairly rough life. I don't baby my mods, that's for sure. I may throw a Vapor Skinz wrap on it at some point.

Mine almost feels a bit *underpowered*, even at 30W. I'll have to do some two fisted comparisons with my rDNA30. But, the Lemo I'm using has a pretty gnarly .54ohm twisted 24ga coil in it so it does take a second to ramp up which is no surprise. I was using this Lemo build at 45W on an IPV2. Mini shows .4ohm on the display and is firing at 3.7V.

Anyway, first impressions are positive. We'll just have to see how it performs long term. It will roll with my rDNA30 as my primary travel mods so it will see a lot of time in my pocket and console of my truck.

Your setup looks sharp, been eying the Lemo for my 1st RTA.

Thanks! Hard to go wrong with a Lemo. A Lemo was my first rebuildable - it's pretty easy to build and a good choice for a first rebuildable. I bought the first one a little over three months ago and now only have rebuildables (five RTAs and bunch of drippers). I got rid of all my clearos very shortly after I started rebuilding. I just couldn't deal with factory clearo coils after I started rolling my own.

That ding above the firing button seems like it's common, then. It's not sharp or raised enough to be a bother in the long run.

Been enjoying mine. After vaping an entire KFL clone, the battery level showed about 1/4 left, so I took it out and threw it on the charger, and it read at 3.6 volts. This is a LG 2500 mah. The finish is a bit of a smudge/fingerprint magnate, although it not a shiny surface. Overall, a very nice vaping experience. Everything else is just observations with a new device, I'm quite pleased with the investment.

What power mode are you on? There are two modes; PWM and DC-DC. I've tried both and DC-DC seems to work better.

DC-DC. That was the first thing I changed after I put a battery in it.

In all fairness, the Lemo sitting on top of it really needs more than 30W. I'll toss one of my other more appropriately built Lemos on it tonight and see how it performs.

As I stated before, I am really happy with this iPV Mini I purchased from Elev8 Vape, but I now realize there is one problem ... The threaded part of the battery cap is bent and because of this, it makes it a little more difficult to remove and replace the cap.

This was obviously missed by QC. It could not have gotten bent by dropping the mod since the bent area is not exposed when screwed on to the mod.

Anyway, I sent an email to Elev8 along with the attached photo and requested a replacement cap.

We shall see how they address this problem.

got mine thru VR, "knock on wood", only prob so far is coil resistance is not reading correctly seems to read .3 off t-words the minus , been thru many different builds in the last week or so...rite now i have a silver Veritas with a 1ohm 28ga kanthal single coil according to my stand-alone meter and my other regulated devices but on the mini it reads .7...yet it's hitting great at 17 watts......now if i could just shake this horrible flu that my flu shot didn't work for.

I wish you the best. Since I've not received a response in 4 days, I sent email this morning stating that my device was delivered to their RMA PO box this morning and that if I don't receive a response, replacement tracking number or refund confirmation by the 24th, I will start the dispute process with my CC company. I hope I don't have to resort to the latter option.

Mines making the trip back to the vendor. I've had problems with every spring loaded 510 box mod I've ordered. I'm starting to think spring loaded 510's look alot better on paper than they perform.

it turns out my IPV mini is out for delivery :?: I love the spring loaded 510 on my rDNA! hopefully the IPV is decent but, ive heard a couple people now not happy with the 510...

I had the idea that the chipset in the iPV Mini would be able to both change output voltage below and above battery voltage (based on the ohm coil you were using along with the selected watts you desired).

But I was wrong ... The iPV Mini can in-fact boost output voltage above battery voltage, but it cannot decrease output voltage below the batteries current voltage:

Using a digital Fluke multimeter, and an authentic Kayfun Lite Plus with a 1.3 ohm single coil, this is the voltage that was shown at the coil screws at various watt settings

BTW .... The battery at the time of this test was indicating 3.8v

The moral of this story is to use a coil and a watt selection that will require the iPV Mini to provide voltage that is equal to or greater than the actual battery voltage ... if you want accuracy in any of this.
__________________________

In my case, I like to vape at about 11 watts of power, so if I use a coil of 1.5 ohms or higher, this will always require the iPV Mini to provide voltage at, or greater than my battery, even when the battery is fully charged.

Did you have the Atomizer attached and the Fluke in line?
You cannot get regulation if the unit sees no correct load. :D
Learned this the hard way with kick modules.

Can someone be so kind as to either point me towards instructions online or take a pic of their instructions for this? I just started using mine and have left for a few weeks. I'm trying to figure out how to change modes. I know how to get it into power bank mode, on and off and memory/voltage adjustment but that's all. I wish I would have brought the box with me.

Same here but I bought mine in an online spanish shop. Can several of you check if it is a general failure?

Got mine today at a B&M. The sealed kit from P4U came with a battery for $69. I also bought a LG HE2 35amp 2500mah ( i assume this is ok)

My tanks sit as perfectly aligned as i can see. I verified this before i ever left the B&M. Build quality appears very nice overall and its feels "beefy". Slightly smaller than a MVP but heavier.

Currently using a IBtanked with a 1.7ohm single coil carto. Set at the minimum 5watts in DC mode the vape is comparable to my MVP set at 6-7watts. Since i dont have an inline volt meter this will have to do for now. The LED claims its 2.8v and 1.6ohm. I did verify the coil is currently 1.6ohm on my MVP v2 and iStick. I could check it with my Fluke but i see no need.

I think i will be quite happy considering i paid almost as much for my MVPs over a year ago.

And by the way anyone who is annoyed by the scratches around the lcd there is a protective clear cover that peels off. Not too easy to get it off but it comes off. I wish that I left mine on now to take it off later after it gets scratched up a bit. I really like this mod. It feels good it works well. Ordered a 510 to USB adapter from fastttech just so I could have the power bank option if needed. Still not here yet so can't report on that just yet.

Sorry Siri butchered my original post.
