Ype, we are on the same page. New Defective - Replace. Goes faulty during warranty - Repair. I'm betting P4Y is not in agreement with elev'8s way of handling New Defects. This ain't no co-op sale - lol

Swear I thought this was the ipv Mini thread.

You have a lot of faith in P4Y. Many, many others don't and that was one of the reasons I didn't buy one (my initial reason for being in this thread). Elev8 is a very good company and I haven't had any issues with any of my orders from them. Blaming a reseller for a manufacturer's defective product is just silly.

This is the IPV Mini thread. Someone asked a question about the Vaporshark so I answered.

KTM, not sure if this was directed at me. I'm not blaming elev8 for the defective product, it happens. I have an issue with how they're handling it. I've not heard back since my reply yesterday and it's been average 2 days between responses which IMO is slow. I'm glad you've had great dealings with them and I've had great dealings with a lot of vendors. Way I see it, send me a new replacement or isssue a refund. God knows how long it will be if they send it to Modus.

My post wasn't directed at you since I didn't quote you but since you mention it...

The vendor does what it can with the manufacturer. If the Mfg doesn't have a warranty policy/procedure in place, do you expect the vendor to eat the loss? Maybe. It's the cost of doing business but Elev8 isn't Walmart or Amazon. They're a very small online shop. I do agree that Elev8 is dropping the ball with 48 hr responses though. I'd give them a call to get a quicker resolution.

just got mine today.. tested the fogger 4.1 and the Lemo.. ohms seems pretty damn close- no complaint.. the 510 on mine is also slightly crooked and that bugs me!! however its not bad enough to send back.. sort of defeats the purpose of the spring loaded 510 since attys only sit flush on one side and obviously there will be wear marks on the side that hits.. still seems to be a good value for $50 i think.. depending on the Cloupor mini i just pre-ordered for $35 that may change real quick.. as for whats out now, no regrets! on the plus side the 5 memory settings are AWESOME and makes life so much easier when switching tanks!! Happy Holidays!

Just received mine as well. Feels nice and sturdy; threading on the battery cap is buttery smooth. A little bit of rattle to the buttons, but the slight clickiness and tactile feel is nice. On the curve of the battery enclosure, the seam is raised slightly near the top 510 connection, enough to feel it if you run your finger over it, and on the upper edge of the screen their is a slight raised "ding" as if from a screwdriver. The anodizing or painting is a bit off in places, uneven or light. The surface is both smooth but their is a grippiness to it, so it's not slippery.

I don't have time to chuck in a battery, since I am leaving for work as soon as I hit the post button. All atomizers have fit flush on top, with only a slight gap on the Magma clone due to long threads. Attys might sit differently once I put a battery in it.

I'll have time to play and test it after I return from work, in the wee hours of the morning.

I'm still pretty stoked about my silver that showed up a couple of days ago. I don't seem to be having any of the "tank alignment" issues some of you others are mentioning. First day, ohms readings were a little scattered, but I think I just was too impatient to let it truly come up to temperature from sitting in a cold mail truck.

Love the passthru. Really like the memory settings. All in all happy for $50. Working with the new Atomic, too. That's pretty fun :)

Got my silver iPV Mini this afternoon.

Tried both my SvoëMesto Kayfun and my Kanger Aerotank Mega on it. Both make good electrical contact and set perfectly level.

I am using a coil that is in fact 1.6 ohms (as measured with a Fluke multimeter) and always power it with 10.5 watts which requires 4.1 volts.

On the iPV Mini, the coil shows 1.5 ohms on this coil, so I need to set the watts up to 11.2 in order to get the 4.1 volts .... no big deal at all .... very minor error

The only thing I don't understand about this iPV Mini is the difference between PWM and DC-DC mode. The little information card that comes with it don't explain what these 2 modes do, and I don't have a clue ... I don't even know which one of these modes I am operating in right now (or how to switch between the two) .... Anyone care to explain

Anyway, this is a really nice little adjustable battery :)

I gotta say it again .... This is really a very nice VW battery!

And the finish on the silver one of mine is flawless ... It don't appear to be a silver paint, so I don't think it will wear off like some of the folks here have experienced with the black colored ones.

Anyway, time will tell, but this mod don't seem to have any faults at all ... and a really nice vape!

Edit: Comes packaged very nice too with some kind of a small certificate of QC-Pass card ...
