Already knew this. Contacted PB about the center pin confusion and received his reply indicating near future review.
Just trying to squash a few misconceptions that might turn someone away from a nice purchase for the wrong reasons.
I put mine in PWM mode this morning and, in that mode it seems to step down and the signal seems pretty tight, bonus. I think the DC-DC mode is meant to dump whatever voltage is in the battery? I dunno, still kinda confused. I can't for Phil to throw it on the scope!

So after using this thing all day yesterday... I love the device. I haven't had any issues with it minus the minor stuff, but my atomizers sit flush, not dings or anything, nothing major that I can tell from vaping on it. Enjoying it so far.
so yesterday I received my ivp mini. Been using it all morning and and really enjoying it. toppers fit flush. fits nice in the hand. smooth finish and seems solid no rattleing, both my button and flat top batteries fit nicely. all functions seem to be working as intended. I did read in the instructions not to use the power pack function with an atomizer. but since some were saying theirs doesn't fire and others that it did. I thought I better find out and get that over with. It fires continuously. So I will not be doing that anymore. But atleast I know.
Ordered a Vapor Skinz wrap for my IPV Mini late Christmas Eve, received tracking info late Christmas Day, and the package was scanned at the post office this morning. Those guys have a tight game, for sure. This will be my second VS wrap. First one went on my Vapor Shark rDNA30 and the quality is fantastic.

My IPV mini got a new outfit for Christmas. Nice job vapor skinz. Not only looks good but is textured too so no more slippery mod.

I put my iPV mini in Mobile ON mode last night to "test" with my Orchid attached, and I had no firing. I will do it again right now as I type... again NO "auto firing" is happening. Even let it sit until the screen went off, and even hit the "fire" button. No issues with my device and the MOBILE ON function. I hope that this issue becomes an update that iPV puts out to stop those who have this potentially dangerous problem, or an update including a way to disable the function altogether for those who know they won't ever use the function (buy the adapter).
Overall, I am really enjoying this device. I like using my thumb to fire so I can see the screen. All my RTAs have fit flush and solid, so have my RDAs. Battery life with a Samsung 25R I feel is good as especially if you can make a build that doesn't warrant a constant 30w output. I haven't been using the micro-USB charge port much, just replacing the battery, since I've mostly been home since I've started using it.
I will also receive a VaporSkin today for it, a White Carbon style.
I think it may be a good idea to for those who have an auto-fire with MobileON to state when they bought it and from who (or at least when), maybe different companies have received different shipment lots that would help us all find the missing puzzle piece of why some do and some don't. Just an idea. This isn't meant to point fingers at any company, If you feel this is unfair to name companies, then please don't mention them.
I got mine from Vape NW on Dec. 16th, and the Silver was currently INSTOCK when I ordered.

Mine also does *not* auto fire with an atty attached in Mobile mode. Mine came from Eciggity and is the "black" version. L0814 is either the serial number or the lot number. Not sure how the Minis are numbered.
In PWM it must be cutting back. Using a 1.7ohm carto at 5watts i get almost no vapor. At 7watts the vape is very similar to a MVP 2.0 set at 7watts. At 8 watts it vapes very similar my iStick at the minimum 5.2watt setting.
I tried a similar experiment with the Atlantis and there is a huge different in vapor production in PWM mode too.

Very nice Major, have you used their wraps before this mod? Any idea how well those wraps hold up over the long haul?
No I haven't. I have a Jwraps on one of my vapor flasks but this is my first vapor skinz. I heard about it in here from another user. The price was right and it seems to be of good quality. I like the texture. It actually feels like wood grain. We'll see how it holds up. It was very easy to install and comes off clean if you make a mistake.
FWIW, I have had Vaporskinz on two Vaporsharks for the past two months. They have held up very well. I have my IPV Mini wrap coming today or tomorrow and will post pic.
definitely recommend them especially given they often have a discount code and i have yet to see one from jwraps.
I have no affiliation with Jwraps or Vapor Skinz, but there is a sale at both of them right now.
