I'm really let down by my Mini. The reading at lower ohm than the coil actually is, is a real problem. Do other people have this issue, or is it just my box? Since the Atlantis reads 0.4 ohm, 30 watts is weak as hell for me on the mini. The subtank works well at 30 watts reading at the same 0.4 ohms since it's less power hungry, but its just too big and gaudy. Can't believe the new istick 50 watt is even smaller and the same price. I would've waited.

Your not alone. It seems to be a common problem with this board. You can simply make the necessary adjustments for taste unless your operating near it limits as in the case with the atlantis.

Is that a Sub Tank? If so, do you like it better than the Atlantis?
It is a sub tank and i love it ,so much versatility from .5 and 1.2 ohm to rba deck and the ease of which you can re-wick and rebuild the stock coils. I dont know about the atlantis as I'm too happy with the sub tank.

Makes total since to me.
Buy a 30w Max Mod for 30W avg. devices.

I'd probably just slightly close the AFC to compensate and enjoy the flavor. Then again I build so I can tweak as needed.

This is still on my short list of decent LOW COST Mods. Have a Cloupor mini on the way, but have already found out several things that make me question the purchase. That said, with the track record of the iStick, I think that is another good one to let others test out before even considering.
I'm just not sure where the Budget mods are heading and I'd rather have a little less power and more reliability than be replacing all the time.

It is glaringly obvious most of these manufacturers are not concerned with correcting anything when they can simply release an updated model every 30-45 days.

YOU BUY CHEAP - YOU BUY TWICE!!! :D

I always have my Mech Mods to fall back on for serious sub ohm vaping if needed:)

I may have spoken too soon. The replacement I got from asmodus yesterday is dead today. In its powered off state it drained a fully charged battery over night. Put a fresh battery in. Powered on, display flashed on and off for about 30 sec then went dead again and won't power on even with battery reset. I think I'm done with P4U devices.

Clean the pins/Cap inside:
Mind acted that way(once) and as soon as I alcohol wiped the cap, it fired back up.

I'm right there with you. Mine reads Atlantis at .4 as well and sends 3.70 at 30W. The IPV 2S reads it at .5 and at 30W is sending 4.1V. Flavor and vapor noticeably different between the 2 devices. It'd be perfect for my needs if it read .5 and supplied the necessary voltage.

Does running your Mini in DC-DC mode improve things at all at these sub-ohm levels?

Maybe things would work Better if you had a 50W Device?

That way you could have some to Move around 30W.

That, or just change your Build Slightly.

I shouldn't have to change anything, the device should read coil resistance accurately. I have a 70W device and the IPV Mini should be able to deliver the same vape as the IPV 2S @ 30W.

You are of course correct. This First generation SX130 should be running right along side the 3rd gen SX330 Chip.......
But it isn't. Nor would the 1st Gen SX330 hold up against the Gen3.

It is unfortunate, but as long as we keep scrambling to be first in line for New releases this is the price we are likely to keep paying.

My suggestion is:
Those happy with what they have - keep it.
Those dissatisfied should start shopping around while looking for a buyer for their unit.

:D

Got a reply back from asmodus about the faulty replacement. They told me to send it back and they will waive the service charge (I would expect that anyway) he said he will bench test the next replacement before sending it (would have made more sense if they had done that with the first replacement) also said he would include a VTC4 for my troubles. We'll try this one more time.... Lol
