So Cal
I have a Efest LUC S2 charger and two Efest 2500 mAh 18650 3.7V batteries. The instructions say I have to unplug the unit before removing the batteries after charging. The English translation of the manual isn't very clear.

Is it really that important to unplug the unit each time before removing batteries?
Does it hurt the unit to leave it plugged in when not charging batteries?
I have tried just inserting and removing batteries with it plugged in with no noticeable problem.

...Going into rant mode

Why is it that the largest English speaking nation in the world (China) cannot produce coherent and understandable instructions for the products they make?

Whew!

Here's mine with the Mahogany wrap from VS, no cut outs and the seam does not show. My wrap from JW did show the hex holes :(

LOL. I have that exact drip tip. It makes this superbly airy beast (the Mini) open the double front doors!

:D

I put it back on the MutX in a moment of lucidity.

G'luck.

I don't know how any of y'all can stand PWM mode and 20-25W on an Atlantis with this device, its like a slow rattlesnake of little vapor.

If you're using DC mode, then there is no 20-25W using the .5ohm coils on this device.

Mine works fine in either mode. Can you expand on your issue?

No, it doesn't, in DC mode you are not getting 20-25W on a .5o coil on this device. There is no issue.

Has anyone opened up their mini and taken photos? I'd like to see them posted...

Thinking that if the mini v2 is using a different chipset, then it should be easy to change the chipset out...

I believe pbusardo took one apart in his review video, maybe not.

Either way yihi didn't sell the SX330 v3 to modders. The one place I have seen it for sale wanted $70 for it, which at that point you may as well just buy an ipv mini v2.

Everything functions as it should. The screen dims, reads the resistance, 5 click on and off works, IPV and Mini logo show up on boot, etc. The only other thing that goes wrong is that when I try and fire the mod it says "CHECK ATOMIZER". I've tried different batteries (all fairly new Samsung 25Rs), different attys (Kayfun and Vertex, both of which fire normally on my mech), etc and still it auto fires, even while turned off. I will try and make a video tomorrow showing the problem.

BTW, I know that the 510 pin isn't user adjustable and have never touched it.

I bet the mobile mode is set to on. Press the up and down buttons together. Make sure it says Mobile Off. If it's in Mobile on mode, it will autofire.

So Cal
My Vapor Skinz arrived today! Yay!!!

First off, my order was placed on Wednesday Jan 21st, Vapor Skinz printed the label that day as well. So 8 days is a little long! ...even for the USPS!

What is it with the USPS in Texas?

Packaging

The Skin was packaged in a large manila sized envelope with thick cardboard and bubble wrap inside to protect the vapor skinz from your typical delivery mistakes. The outside was marked "PRIORITY MAIL", and was also stamped "PHOTOGRAPHS DO NOT BEND". My VS arrived intact and unbent. Included the VS were nicely done instructions, a VS sticker, and a business card with a 10% off code of "BADWOLF". The other side of the card is their sister company Arsenal Stands that make a very interesting modular stand for your vape gear.

wow! WOW! W0W!!! This is one gorgeous skin! Nice textured wood grain, looks like a medium/dark stained oak to me. Vapor Skins refers to this as "Dark Tamo Wood" on their order page for the iPV mini.

Contents of envelope:

Installation/Application of the Vapor Skinz

I followed the directions, and washed my hands and cleaned my iPV Mini as good as possible with a clean dry soft cloth. I went one step further, with a little rubbing alcohol q-tips on only the metal portion where the large skin would go. I didn't get the alcohol near the plastic screen for fear of damage or fogging. I also turned my unit off to prevent holding any buttons down during the application of the VS.

I started with the strip that goes over the buttons folding only enough of the backing away to only reveal the top portion for the tank and the power button. I lined it up carefully and pressed down, making certain the power button was centered in its cutout. I then continued down the face over the screen & U/D buttons. Lastly I carefully curved the bottom portion. The bottom edge where the vinyl goes over need to be firmly applied, more on that later. Now I wanted to get the big piece on! Again folding back just enough backing to reveal one side, I carefully lined it up and started working my way around. Hmmm, got all the way around it and didn't like the way it lined up, so I carefully pulled it back up and made adjustments. It took a total of 3 tries to get it evenly applied left to right and top to bottom. WOW it totally changes this thing! Looks and now FEELS incredible!

The pics were taken with my cellphone and don't do this thing justice! It really looks nice, in my opinion! I didn't want a print of anything, so I went with a natural wood. A stone look and texture would be my second choice, if they offered one I liked.

Some things I learned applying my skin...

After all is done, and you're sure it is where you want it; get out your trusty blow dryer. Set the temp to high and hold your skinned iPV mini in your hand while heating the vinyl and glue behind it. By holding it in your hand you'll know when it too hot, don't go "dragon breathing fire" hot on it, just as hot as your hands can handle is fine. This helped immensely to get the sharp edges to "lay down" and it helps activate the glue side.

Fit

The skin that goes over the buttons and screen was just a little too wide at the top of the vinyl, just perfect at the lower portion. I cannot blame that on Vapor Skinz as it may be a QC issue in China. The larger wrap around piece may is also slightly too wide in spots, IMHO. After initial installation the edges of it on either side of the screen didn't lay flat over the curve, but a good dose of heat from the blow dryer cured that. Again not sure if this issue is the fault of poor Chinese QC or lies with the VS template.

Grades:

Processing/Shipping Time: D
Packaging: A- (Being really picky, it could have been in a cardboard envelope, but mine arrived unbent as it was marked "Photographs")
Item: A+
Instructions: A
Fitment: A-
Looks: A+
Feel/Texture: A+ (Goodbye "Slippery Silver")
Longevity: ? (Will Update in the future)

OP Checked, re-checked and checked again - Read the thread.
Even Mobil Mode should NOT work in the OFF Condition.

Darryl Licht, I was never one for Dark wood but that turned out Nice! Hope yours last longer than Major911's did.(unit failed)

Major911, interesting Skin....................... I still thought the first on was SWEET!!!

Afraid mine are going to have to go naked for a while. I'm kind of curious how long it will take to completely rub through the Original Paint.

I BET YOU ARE RIGHT! Mobile mode makes the 510 connection hot all the time for use with the 510 adapter to allow charging of a mobile device! Oh no! None of us suggested that to the OP! He already sent it back!

Raguvian, did you try and turn off Moblie Mode before calling it dead?

Make sure its not in "mobile on" mode.

Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

It's not, and even if it was it wouldn't explain why it fires while the entire thing is off. Taking the battery out and putting it back in didn't do anything either. I could open it up but it's only a few weeks old so I'm going to send it in and then if I get a new one back I'll just sell it since I just ordered a REO.

Went to see which one I choose, and realized I got mine from jwraps  But sure the install will still be the same, not sure how to describe, so just post a pic of it instead :)
