iPV Mini?

I'm not happy at all. I've had my mini about 2 months now. I got over the fact that it under-reads ohms, but today it completely died. Screen started scrambling and looking all crazy, now its dead. Tried a different battery and everything. It's shot. It's not even worth the wait and aggravation with asmodus or whatever they're called. Plus it was only 50 bucks and I got a decent 2 months use out of it. However I will never buy another ipv product ever again.

Sorry to hear of your issue! $50 is still $50, I'd send it back for repair/replacement! Every manufacturer has issues, and they account for those issues via warranty, use it! Or feel free to send it to me and I'll do it!

wow very interesting.. I just read the last page and rechecked, the mod still fires! It's just the screen that's busted. I can definitely live with that as I only use it at 30 watts anyway.

Follow that thought process throughout life and you will end up with nothing and hating everything. But please, go buy something else, maybe with no Warranty.
Yes, All 3 of mine are still working fine. You would be lucky to Pry the one my wife is using out of her hand.

$8 to Repair - Broken Logic
Buy whatever, have the mini fixed and place as backup. You cannot buy a decent EGO650 for $8

The "Red Rose" (pink?) IPV mini on FT has the same logo as others. Identical in all respects as far as I can tell except for obviously the colour. No doubt you're a girl

I remember the owner of my local shop saying he had to special order the pink one for his wife! Maybe there was a special edition?

No PWM on the mini2.

Set the IVP back into PWM mode and understand, when it matches Battery output to the Resistance of the device, it will AUTO switch to DC-DC. i.e. best for whatever you are using.

Also note, the IPV Mini Kicks extra power(about 1v) for .8 seconds when fired. Think of it as a Quick preheat of the coil. Several Nice mods have this type of power feature available.

The MXJO is a good choice too! Good luck finding an authentic VTC4 right now.

Honestly, I own one of each (except the VTC4) and I like the Sammys the best, the MXJO is the next best as it has a longer daily useful time period than the LG (which has the lowest # useful hours/day).

Lightening vape has authentic VTC4. I bought mine from there.

Thorough testing, already done, seems to confirm the MXJO is simply a Re-wrapped LG HE2 - for the Vaping community.
Candlepower forums is an excellent source for Battery info.

That's interesting... my MXJO outperforms my HE2 significantly in run time! Maybe I got a bum HE2 marked as an HE2 and a good HE2 marked as a MXJO???

Very possible. I have purchased battery sets and had one fail within days of receipt while the other lasted over 2yrs.
I found it interesting the LG HE's seem to be the most popular re-wraps. Likely due to the combination of Quality/price. I'm concidering giving the HE4's a shot, but they will be hard pressed to do any better than the Samsung's. Bright Yellow wrap will make matching to specific mods simpler.

Lightening vape has authentic VTC4. I bought mine from there.

I only trust one vendor for my flashlight and vaping battery needs: illumn.com (one of the most well known batt retailers online)

... and they've been outta stock on the authentic VTC4's for quit a while! They only got them back in this week!

Which makes me doubly suspicious regarding the authenticity of those from a vape products retailer that is selling them.

Bought an Hcigar HB DNA 40 and am getting the Yihi SX Mini M when it comes out in a month or so. I'm vaping the Hcigar box now, and I'm gifting my iPV Mini to my oldest son, once he gets some batteries for it (I don't have any 25r I can spare).

So mine is getting retired, and here are my thoughts on the iPV Mini after living with it for the last 6 weeks.

I was very happy with this mod. This was my first vw device. I literally went from 4 years vaping a Silver Bullet to this. It improved my vaping dramatically. No unexpected behavior ever. Bucked in PWM mode. Spring loaded 510. Nice hand feel. In every regard I think this is a brilliant device when purchased for less than $50 (I paid $48 shipped). Zero gripes.

The only gripe I have with the iPV Mini comes from the last 24 hours of using my DNA 40 device. The SX130 in the iPV Mini is not accurate. It read my build as .5 ohm, and applied 3.7v at 28.5w. Check that on an Ohm's Law calculator, it doesn't match up. A .57 ohm build at 3.7v should be running around 24w, which is what my new box shows. Frankly, vaping this build at 20w on my DNA 40 "feels" like 28.5w on the iPV Mini. So somewhere something is off with this SX130 chip.

Inaccuracy aside, I was very happy with the performance and function of the Mini. Great mod for the money, and I'll always remember it fondly as my intro to vw vaping.

I got a IPV Mini 70w a couple days ago and I can't seem to switch between PWM mode and DC-DC mode. In standby I've tried pressing the power and + buttons simultaneously but it always shows current watts. Is there a trick I'm not catching?

I experienced the same inaccuracies in my mini v1, which has now been replaced by the much more accurate mini II!

I thought the v2 had no PWM mode?
