Bought an Hcigar HB DNA 40 and am getting the Yihi SX Mini M when it comes out in a month or so. I'm vaping the Hcigar box now, and I'm gifting my iPV Mini to my oldest son, once he gets some batteries for it (I don't have any 25r I can spare).

So mine is getting retired, and here are my thoughts on the iPV Mini after living with it for the last 6 weeks.

I was very happy with this mod. This was my first vw device. I literally went from 4 years vaping a Silver Bullet to this. It improved my vaping dramatically. No unexpected behavior ever. Bucked in PWM mode. Spring loaded 510. Nice hand feel. In every regard I think this is a brilliant device when purchased for less than $50 (I paid $48 shipped). Zero gripes.

The only gripe I have with the iPV Mini comes from the last 24 hours of using my DNA 40 device. The SX130 in the iPV Mini is not accurate. It read my build as .5 ohm, and applied 3.7v at 28.5w. Check that on an Ohm's Law calculator, it doesn't match up. A .57 ohm build at 3.7v should be running around 24w, which is what my new box shows. Frankly, vaping this build at 20w on my DNA 40 "feels" like 28.5w on the iPV Mini. So somewhere something is off with this SX130 chip.

Inaccuracy aside, I was very happy with the performance and function of the Mini. Great mod for the money, and I'll always remember it fondly as my intro to vw vaping.

You do realize you are supposed to Vape by Preference, not numbers on a screen right?
Tell me, How does Ohms law fit into a Regulated mod with unknown factors - like efficiency, Single digit .X ohm readings, Possible output reading of Actual or Required to achieve?

I find my Best Vape comes from setting to an output that delivers where I enjoy my Vape regardless of what is on screen.

Still have my Mini's - (2) 30w and a 70w as well as (2) Cloupor mini's - All vape slightly different at Same screen settings.

While I agree that you should vape for that specific device and what you enjoy, I think his point was that the mini v1 is off (wildly) in its displayed voltage for those other two known variables. E.g.: if you have a known coil ohmage and mod wattage, the computed voltage that is displayed doesn't follow ohms law.

The displayed voltage on the mini II is much more accurate was my point.

Agreed - SX330 chips have had time to be developed into an excellent controller.

My mini 30w reading .4ohm shows 3.7v dc-dc for 34.23w, but it is a 30w max device.
PWM reads 3.6v again incorrect @ 32.40w
PWM - 32.40w * 93%(efficency rating) - 30.1w

Just not so sure watching Volts reading in Watts mode is meaningful on the SX130.

I have just about decided, like many China companies, P4Y is nothing more than a Front office/Design business and their products are built by order elsewhere.
P4Y has No information on site for the Mini2 - Seriously?

Well since they (P4Y) puts the voltage on the screen and I have learned much about ohms law in the last 2 months, I did the calcs myself. Even if one allows for a 0.55 or higher ohm coil their volts are waaay off. I watch the watts, not volts! Especially after seeing that something was off with the 130 chips.

I have noticed that no details on the mini II also. Other than a splash screen that leads to nowhere, unless you consider a 404 error somewhere. Probably will be fixed after the big Chinese horiday is over.

Honestly, I own one of each (except the VTC4) and I like the Sammys the best, the MXJO is the next best as it has a longer daily useful time period than the LG (which has the lowest # useful hours/day).

I'm very satisfied with my Samsung 25R's

Thanx for ALL the replies!!!

Found the "Samsung INR18650-25R 2500mAh 3.6v Rechargeable Flat Top Batteries" at Amazon--Expo International for $11.99 (for 2) with FREE shipping.

[The link will probably take you to a page showing "FREE Shipping on orders over $35. Just click on the "11 new from $7.50" and it will take you to a page with Expo International who has FREE shipping with NO minimum.]

I just got a Pair of these from Illumn.

Good Price. Fast Ship. Battery Life seems to be More than 2500mAh. No Complaints what-so-ever.

I have been happy with their processing and shipping as well! My go to source for flashlight stuff! Guess I'm gonna have to get an 18650 light now, then the wife wont notice so many vape batts! LOL!

Good things come in small boxers. :?:

Kat, coming from an iSticky point of view, this smallboxer feels pretty big. To you that means more room to bling-it-up.

LOL, Turtle. So so true. :)

And tiz arrived. The pics are rather dark. I shall have to get some in sunlite, but for now. . ..
